- A common problem with any rug particularly when placed upon a smooth floor surface is that it slides, this can not only cause damage to the rug but it can be a tripping hazard. This video from The Rug Seller shows how to stop your rug from slipping and sliding on carpet, laminate, tiles or wooden floors.
By applying carpet stop to the underside of the rug it will stop the rug from moving. Carpet stop is an anti slip rug underlay that can be cut to size and is easy to apply.

where can I find carpet-stop?

What is is made of? I just took up a carpet and found out how much damage the previous non-skid pad did to my hardwood floor. It stuck to the floor and what I took it up, it left a lot of residue and a pattern on the floor.
I have one and it is 100% polyester. I’ve never had issues like you have mentioned, perhaps it’s not the same quality that you bought. I don’t mean that to be rude.
