Soil test my yard every 3-4 years. Or if I want to see if certain things are working on my lawn.

This is a refreshing video, especially coming from you. Please keep the whole “you do you” attitude moving forward opposed to the childish bully mentality that you typically take in your other videos. I’ll gladly support your channel with the new approach

I’m starting to like this guy. A nice change of pace here from the expletive filled Shorts. 🙌🙌 oh and btw, I secretly enjoyed your recent parodies about me.

Nice video Joe. This video was very genuine and from the heart. Much respect to you. Yes, I too have found soil tests not necessary to do as often as I have. I'm leaning to checking soil every 3 years and maybe find another way to test PH since I'm hovering 7. This year im actually starting to come up with a NPK lawn plan ready in advance. Happy to say I wont need to purchase anything to get through the next 2 years. I got sucked up in the whole gotta buy this trend. No regrets however I have learned and I'm in cruise control for the next couple years. Let's face it, mother nature will not always allow for a perfect lawn. Do the best we can with our budget and enjoy the lawn. Life is short. Happy New Year my friend. 👍🏻

I agree totally with you, Joe. I have used expensive fertilizers in the past. For the past few years, I have been using clearance fertilizer from Walmart, and the lawn looks great. Fertilize May, September, and November. Preimergent April, sometimes September. Spot spray weeds, best-looking lawn!

Hey Joe, I must say I really haven't in the past agreed with your approach in your other videos. It might be your style and we are all entitled to our opinions and what we say. That is what makes the world go round. With that said you have nailed it on this video. I can't agree more on what you have said. I too make a modest living to support my family. I have in recent years spent way too much money on products and equipment trying to achieve the perfect lawn. Although my back round is not in this industry I did work for Scotts Lawn Service for 4 years while I was in between career jobs. In that time I learned and saw a lot servicing over 400 lawns per season and have seen it all. At the end of the day this industry is like all others and its everyone's right to make as much money for themselves and their families. I can't think of one industry that is 100% honest about their products and services. It is up to the individual to see what works best for them. Science is just a gathering of information but not the answer for everything. Mother Nature still has the final say and always wins no matter how much we try to control it. Trial and error is how we learn because not every situation is the same. That goes for our bodies and our lawns and there are too many variables to follow one way to get the best results. Glad to see you brought up St. Jude and I think we all as a community can agree that this is something we should support. 👊🤝

It’s just grass at the end of the day. It grows it dies it gets cut. It is what it is.
