Bedbugs and crabs are not the same 🤦🏾♀️. You're right you can bring bedbugs back from sitting next to someone who has them. They can crawl in to your bag, pocket, hood of your coat. You could walk in their eggs and transport them in to your home. They are a big reason why I'm scared to travel (even though still do). But I don't unpack and keep my bag/suitcase closed when I stay anywhere. I literally unpack near my front door when I return and I steam my luggage before bringing them in. Bedbugs are extremely hard to get rid of once they move in so I try my very best to not bring any back home with me.

Every time I get a hotel room, I rip the bedspread& blanket off, they're washed once a month. And when I sat down, a "crab" looking bug came running towards me!! I screamed, jumped up,& ran out the bldg!! Now that's bold&disgusting!! I can't....🤦🏽♀️
Its always been like that at these nasty motels/hotels. I use to be housekeeper and they only let us have 12mins to clean these rooms. I almost got fired for using my own bleach and pinesol!! These.....let me stop!!🤦🏽♀️

You can get them at 5 star hotels, sitting at a restaurant, a movie theater, someone’s clean home, apartment buildings, townhomes that are connected, airplane, at work, or the mall. They do not discriminate. It’s not about how clean or dirty a place is, it’s about where they decide to manifest. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, bed bugs are everywhere, and they can be hard to get rid of. I used to work in customer service, and I had at least 5 customers call in to say their furniture arrived with bed bugs, which most likely came from the warehouse. My heart broke for them because these were elderly people.

I stayed in 4 different hotels and different price levels last year. I broke the phone flashlight and started checking the corners of the mattress for bed bugs. So, far one hotel didn't check. It was a one night stay. Now I am just continuing to check no matter the hotel.
