Great video! Excellent tips on this one. What he said about the arrow needing time to stabilize in flight was correct, but a properly tuned bow can stabilize arrow fight much faster than his did. Proper tuning is paramount for penetration.
Sorry Max, but your bow is out of tune. The vanes might not have a twist to them. With that twist, it makes the arrow spin. Also, your arrow is out of line. Meaning the center shot is off. Your arrow flew almost like a knuckle ball. We archers in America - our bows are tuned better, and arrows fly like darts. Not sideways. You might try paper tuning it to get better arrow flight. Also, put so helical on the fletching. The arrow will spin as it comes off the riser, and not 50 yards down field. Not beating you up, but you bow and arrows need professional tuning.
Grew up bow hunting and can't believe this. You can get a 4" group at 80 yards with 5 arrows with a 70-75lb draw with a couple weeks of good practice. I'd say that's a good, consistent, humane kill shot. Add a tree stand or some good hunting skills you could get plenty closer to a nice buck. Seeing people pay to go shoot a trophy is embarrassing. But with so many people trying to conserve wildlife it's hard to keep a balance. Cows aren't being allowed to feed where they once were and it's causing massive crop, forest and wildlife loss. Hunting regulations have grown and caused major problems with deer, crows, wolves and other animals to overpopulate. Guess what I'm saying is that I like nature and life and all the great things we don't need to buy. Sucks that everyone wants to control everything and the real great things are fading away.

It's not about draw weight, its about arrow placement, best advice you can get if you bowhunt. Good to see its picking up over seas especially with a Hoyt. Hahhhaa compound bow.. He even says he’s bad! Good hunter, he knows he can’t hit the heart half the time. The brain is very very difficult to hit. In order to hit the brain you have to not only shoot from the below of the skull you have to be ready with a knife to end its suffering.

If he was a true bowhunter, he'd hunt instinctive... I lived in rural canada for a year, and this guy got nothing compared to some compound shooters I've seen... I personally prefer instinctive with my 50# martin jaguar... I hardly hunt with it hough, just recreational shooting.
Why saving all animals, like pink Barbie girls, their little chivava??? Even if you are vegetarian, you have to know many animal in the forests destroys the greens, that is one of the reasons why we need to hunting.....
He obviously eats what he kills or sells it to the butchers. And yes it would take alot of skill to kill a deer with a bow. At least they can run away if they notice him or hear him . Animals on farms can't even get away. My ancestors hunted animals for 100 of years with bows. If you were starving you would eat a wild animal. If you were living in the bush then culling animals would be a necessity. Watch man vs wild then tell me if its a bad thing hunt animals.
Hunting with a bow is extremely difficult, especially on public land. I have one nice Mule Deer buck for 5 years of hunting. But it's about the hunt, not about the kill.
