Love your videos dude but I disagree on number 5 and there are some other tips to give if you wanna go all black. As someone who wears black 99% of the time, here are some things I do to keep my look consistently looking good and fresh:
1. All black doesn't mean literally black clothing. You can achieve the same look and feel by staying in the monochrome family. Grays and navy's, can compliment your all black look. The pieces have to be quality as you've stated tho.
2. Wear white or single colored shoes. This can make an outfit look different. The key is the design can't be overly complex. Athletic nikes in white or red or even converse work well here.
3. Different fits. So this one is tricky but if executed well can give an all black wardrobe some versatility. While I agree clothes should fit well, but certain styles that are a bit more loose can give your all black outfit a more casual look.
4. Your suggestion to incorporate different textures is spot on. To elaborate, items with details contribute to this style as well. A well placed button, pocket, or unique stitching can help make an all black look stand out.
5. And last, but not least... personal grooming. To properly sell this look, your hair style, facial hair, everything should be on point. Just throwing on all black will not make you look cool if you haven't had a haircut in 6 months.

Here's a physics lesson for you, black is the best colour to wear when you're not at direct exposure to light because it is the best *radiator* of heat meaning your heat is being radiated away faster. Unless you expect yourself to be out in the sun for the whole day then black is the best colour to wear.

Since the Start of 2017 I've been focusing my style around allblack and monochrome clothing because I never did that before and was mostly a brown and blue wearing guy. I really like the look of those dark colors and my goal is to achieve something which I call the "allblack/ monochrome greyblack preppy style". I really like boat shoes, chinos and polos but I want to give it a new twist by changing the colors from very loud colors as they are seen in typical preppy/ ivy league looks to those dark grey and black colors.

So I used to wear all black and I really liked it, but then (maybe because I was obsessed with all black) I started noticing people wearing all black more and more and it felt like all black was getting really common, and I didn't want to blend in, so I went to wearing varieties of colours. However it's a been a few years since then, and now I miss the all black vibes I used to carry. I feel like, as someone who's changing my colours everyday now, I've lot my style, or I don't really have a style. i think all black look is cool when done properly. but it's easy to screw up as well. that's why i feel that we should add non-black accessories (watch, bracelets, necklaces, belt, socks etc) in a way so that they look intentional if we don't own all-black-everything.
