I always thought N.O. could Finals contenders if they waited for Boogie to get healthy, then had the starting lineup of Rondo, Jrue, Mirotic, AD, and Boogie. Their bench would have needed to be equally as nice though, with a few vets to anchor it. I think the front office got impatient though. So that's when everything crumbled.
I mean boogie kinda fell after the injury tho so it prob was the correct thing to do

@@sdfishinn They only struggle because of lbj & the lesystem. If the Lakers traded his max contract away & got other players & a legit coach, they would be a title contender.
They would still lose to the warriors
@@Benny2huncho Maybe, maybe not. Harden & CP3 took them to 7. If CP3 wasn't injured in the last game, Houston probably would've won. So for N.O. with that starting lineup, it would depend on who was coming off the bench.

They were definitely going to contend. Who knows if AD stays in New Orleans if they managed to win one for the Pels. A lot of the close games in the series could have used Boogie's offense

They were my favorite to win when that happen. they were really nice. the chemistry was amazing. even better than LBJ AD combo now. NO AD was a beast and on the way to becoming the best in the league.
Honestly I think cousins could be great piece for the lakers the play offs!

They lost 4-1 against the Warriors without Boogie. I still think they lose to the Warriors with Boogie but it would've gone to 6, maybe 7 if AD/Boogie both went nuclear. If they stole one at Oracle, then it would've gotten interesting...
Nah kinda disagree tho if boogie was available during the playoffs they still wouldn't have beaten the Warriors. I remember the Pels were a .500 team. Boogie and AD would get 2k numbers and still lose. Cousins played the point getttin TDs.
Boogie was my favorite player to watch. I thought that pelicans team was gunna be great. I remember they started a little slow and then started dominating the league.
Naw, there are several “what if’s” before this one. Grant Hill, Brandon Roy, Derrick Rose, if Melo got drafted by Detroit, if Melo went to MIA w/ LeBron and Chris Bosh, etc…
