It might be controversial but I think Kai was right to feel deserted, when you hear all the names he’s known by and he was a fellow general to Oogway then it’s probably not a stretch to believe Oogway was similar just didn’t like the assault on pandas and had so many more years to develop wisdom
A lot of people think that Oogway was like Kai and changed. I don't think that's the case. If we're to go by Chinese mythology lore, I think it's more likely that Oogway and Kai wanted to unify "China" and its states. Their individual reasonings differed, obviously. Kai probably wanted to rule the unified country once they accomplished it while Oogway wanted to eliminate national turmoil.

I know that there are people who consider this the weakest of the three, but honestly... it is right up there with the rest of them, and I absolutely love Po's payoff of understanding that he is far more than _just_ the dragon warrior, serving people by kicking butt. He is the sum of his parts, not just the one aspect of himself. He is able to be all of those things without internal conflict, and it is just... so nice. One of the poems, that is very core for me, is Rudyard Kipling's "If-" which is really about how if you can master yourself and all of those aspects of yourself, you are really just... able to take on the world, and everything that it throws at you. I love that message, and it feels like it really fits with this movie.
Didn’t feel like a drop off for us in this one. Felt just as solid as the first two and in some ways was our favorite 🤩☺️

I love this trilogy as much as the How To Train Your Dragon trilogy, and I'm with you, this one might be my favorite movie of the three. And I loved your reaction, I think I watched you two more than the actual movie scenes, I like your vibe and energy, it's obvious that you're not only enjoying the movie, you enjoy watching it together 😊

I will still die on this hill. The Kung Fu Panda trilogy may unironically be one the best trilogies in cinema history.
It's fun for everyone, the humor is great, but it know when to be serious. Not to mention the themes explored in each movie are great and well executed.

Speaking as a 70 year old, I've found that I simply LIKE the person I am now more than I like the person I was in my 20s. And I don't mean that I dislike who I was then; I mean that I've grown into my potential. And I'm confident that I'll continue growing; I haven't reached the end of my potential yet.
If you guys didn’t know, Kung Fu Panda 4 comes out March 8, and the new villain will be a sorceress who will bring back the villains from the 3 movies back, her name is Chameleon.

Hopefully it’s as woke as puss and boots 2 and has a trans character that’s an animal. Humans are animals btw we are apes she share a common ancestor with modern apes. Anyways a trans character that’s well made while also respecting Poe and some anti traditional messages. Because tradition is dumb and comes at the expense of others rights.

what an amazing Trilogy
Used to think how annoying these kid-type movies were after a certain point in my life,
But you two and your reactions, editing and overall approach to most things you react to have reminded me how funny this movie can get at times
& brought back some real laughter in my life, cause its easy to fake a smile or plaster one on my face these days without actually feeling it.
So I just wanted to say thanks and hope your lives will continue being filled with fun and laughter as well.

If you want another example of Kate Hudson’s comedic chops watch Glass Onion: A Knives Out mystery. She has one of the best and funniest lines in any of last year’s movies. I think she gets it from her mom.

My favorite thing about the movie: Master Oogway said that he NEVER tried leaving the spirit world. And it's just wonderful. He already been living for hundreads of years, seeing all the bad and good stuff of our world. He collected all the wisdom he could. And now he can just watch a sunset in Spirit World FOR ETERNITY and its more then enough for him.

A friend of mine, a traveller (and now emigrant) in Asia, once asked me if I knew why pandas were so endangered. I said no, and he said "Because they're DELICIOUS! True fact. Why else do you think so many Asian restaurants have pandas or bamboo in the name or the logo?"

When someone makes a sequel because the original movie was great and made a lot of money, that's just cashing in on the popularity of the first movie, and the sequel is extremely likely to be bad. But sometimes sequels are planned from the beginning, so you'll get something like the Kung Fu Panda trilogy, which is really a single story that needs to be told in three movies. I don't know for certain that that was the plan from the beginning, but it has that feel to it. There's a clearly defined story arc, with each sequel building on the previous movies, and that can't be accidental.
Hm, this is an interesting one, in its own right.
I do wonder how the Fourth one will turn out?

The thing about the story of oogway and Kai is that both fought in a war and that oogway was wounded but Kai found pandas who healed him with chi and in this moment oogway learned a new way he became good Kai was the villain from the beginning

Master Oogway uses the Wuxi Finger Hold to himself in the first Kung fu Panda to sent himself to the spirit realm.. correct me if I'm wrong 😅
No, he was just naturally taken there. Remember that the wuxi finger move creates a golden shockwave whenever it's used and there was none when he moved on to the spirit realm

I liked the message at the beginning of this movie. It will probably be a simplification, but I will say it in my own words. Social being determines social consciousness. And it becomes easier and more pleasant for you when the environment around you gets better and better. And when you personally get better at the expense of others, that is, when the environment around you gets worse, but it makes you personally feel better, then you won't really be happy about it. If you're a normal person. Well, an abnormal person can eat others like that as long as his cannibalistic appetite is enough for it. Until it bursts.

Same "problem" that i have with the third "How to train your Dragon" movie = Doesnt't feel like a fair ending to a good trilogy but still very cute. But for both trilogies: Second Movie is the best.
Thing is, that's the catch when things are marketed towards kids. The message that we keep growing, and move on with our lives, tends to take precedence. Last thing the creators wanna do is give a bunch'a kid various neuroses, because their favorite character ended the story still obsessed with X, Y or Z.
Sucks, but otherwise, it's a fun experience.
