- Hey everybody! We're so close to being able to play pool in public again!!! I'm ready to post more league matches when I can get them recorded! In the mean time, I wanted to try something a little different. Here you're going to see me run an 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and a 10-Ball rack while wearing my GoPro Hero8 Black on my head.
I'm not commentating much in this because I'm more focused on making sure the GoPro captures what I want you to see, which is where I'm hitting on the cue ball. As I get more comfortable shooting, while wearing my GoPro, I'll be able to commentate better.
Let me know what you think about this, as I would like to do more videos like this. For example, when I'm playing the ghost or in any of my instructional videos.
Let me know what you think, and don't forget to subscribe

Nice video Lil Chris! You've probably seen my head cam gopro videos that I started putting up in 2012, here's the link to the playlist for people to check out. czcams.com/play/PLfvE5l__3c3jln4eZySMSsGdPXJdorK2D.html Keep up the good work man and stay safe wherever you are!
I'm honored to receive a comment from a professional such as yourself! Thank You!!! I'll check out your playlist when I can!
Thanks Chris🙏 All my best always and god bless you!
Mr. Max Eberle, when i first play pool (2 years ago) i learn how to grip my cue from your video instruction.... LOL i grip my cue like gripping rifle (squeezed so hard) before i watch your video.... Thank you Sir.
Respect legend!
I like it. It gives me a perspective on how you aim and shoot compared to what I do and I appreciate it.
I love this!! It was a HUGE help for me to see exactly where you were striking the cue ball. Thanks!
I like that your using the go pro because it helps me figure how to aim the various shots, and what spin to use to get shape. Great job and video, and thank you.
That last frame I’m following the 6 ball down table with a touch of top left...got a lucky push off that 7 to continue the break and run. Solid work, great video. Thanks.
Nice Idea hope that we’ll see more of it .. Wish u all the best 😘♥️
Played against others today for first time since I started playing again after 30 years. Your videos have helped me a lot. From this one I learned I need to stay down longer.
This is incredible man ! Thank you very much and appreciate the new creative way. I've been following you and you're the best teacher ❗️
Flawless! Thanks for sharing!
Probably one of the most beautiful snooker games I've seen 🖤
That's a really cool side by side view of what you're doing and what effect it has. Nice video 👍
I've been following you for about a year. You have helped me more than I thought you would. You're a great instructor. Keep doing your thing...Sincerely, Benito Panizzi.
Any of you that follow lil Chris I'll see you in the finals as soon as covid taps out..
Excellent video Chris, like the side window plus the table. maybe someday I will be half as good as you. can't wait for the next one. I appreciate all your efforts making these videos.
Nice consistent stroke, I always mess up that last key ball to the 10 so good to see the English you use off the short rail
HEY CHRIS!! i like this a LOT! thanks, and please keep doing it!
A brilliant idea of video, it helps to understand the effects of the ball, continue with this type of video, thank you
Smooth as always. Great shooting bro. Thanks.
CUE BALL CONTROL CLEAN shot making clean even when the out gets messed up u still manage to come up with really good back up plans nice games
Great video love how that almost scratch helped you run out on the 8 ball rack. Keep up the good work Chris
This vid is really helpful bro. I just learned various aiming from this. Keep up the good work. Wish you all the best.
Love this idea ! Very helpful
Very interesting. Thumps up.
This never gets old!! I love watching you shoot pool. Such precision on your shots, really great shooting!
Great shooting Chris, form and position play at it's finest.
Good stuff!!! Great POV pool!!
Great work!!
Like the GoPro! Nice run outs as well.
Thanks Chris. We both enjoyed the video. For your next camera purchase, maybe directly over the table would be helpful too. Watching your English on the GoPro angle was very helpful! I wish I had your speed control.
I like this extra view. It definitely adds another layer to dissect and learn from. Another player that I watch on CZcams "Sharivari," also does this. I believe he records the shots first and then adds his thought process during editing. Thanks again for the video.
Nice work!.. thanks from down under 👍🇳🇿
Love to see more POV action like this! Like when I was studying to learn to shoot trap. The Shot Cams were perfect for getting the "sight picture" spot on. Seeing 👀 how you line up the shot n control the cue ball...it just makes sense!! 🤔 Thnx Lil Chris
Nice position and shot on the 5 when playing the 10 ball rack.
Great content dude! Love this format!
I would have preferred a commentary track saying, "I'm hitting with lower left to pull the ball back to (pointing) over here" etc.
Very Very Nice... Congrats!
Your fundamental is so good Chris, love to see you in tournament
Clean shots👍
I like this kind of method, it teaches people how to aim,how to hit the right angle and make the ball to the right point.Maybe next time u can teach us like this “I will hit this point to make the ball to which area”.Anyway thank u very much, this video help me a lot,I think I will watch this video several times to learn how to play billiards.
As a beginner this was helpful. Thank you!
Well done!!!!!!
Hey Chris. Excellent video. Really enjoyed the cue shots from the gopro. Nice to see the tangent line after the shot. Also like the speed control. Hope your staying vigilant. I'll be watching. QA
Great video..great shooting also..looks like near center most of the time gets the job done..😉
Hello brother, I am the first time I see your videos. Your game is beautiful. I will always follow you, greetings from Morocco 🇲🇦
Hi Lil' Chris.... Thank You so much for sharing your pool skill... i almost made 8 ball runout after watch this video.... i need to see the POV when you line up the shot (while standing).... i need to learn this. Thank You Lil' Chris.
Love it.
That works great!
Good video! Keep rocking the GoPro
I like the way you play sir👍👍
The master
😱😱😱
Great Job! When you run the table like that I would love for you to call out the positions your hitting the Qball on! 🙂
Pretty cool. I liked the way you shot that on shot left handed. I cannot do anything left-handed.
That eight ball rack was awesome
Little Ronnie O'Sullivan vibe at 8:57
Looking great with the gopro very clean and clear picture Been very busy at my hospital with the SARS 2.0 COVID-19 pandemic so it's nice to see that life is getting better for all of us. Really liked how I was able to the natural roll from the cue and I was able to see the cue placement on the cue ball instead of a marker as I have seen before. Overall it's a great way to help my game. You take care Chris.
Thank you for being on the frontline in battling the COVID-19 pandemic!!!
Still the best pool channel on youtube
Your a shot maker lil Chris 👏🏿
You did in one take-shot?? wow.... superb!!
This help my aim so much thanks♥️
Nice shooting!
Great video
More video's like this playing the ghost please! With lots of commentary (thoughts) of course!
Great video Chris!
WOW! You're such a great billiard player 🔥
I like the way that you are always thinking of new things to try Chris, keep it up! Great vid and again can't wait to get on a table with you. Dang virus!

Well this is the closest im gonna get to playing pool any time soon so, keep it up! Lol Nice video 👍🏼
Creative change of pace -- I like it... some commentary pre-shot on what you are thinking before the shot would be super helpful to people like me - larger gopro shots would be helpful, too, but I'm sure the GoPro wide angle distortion makes it a bit weird too, so I'll trust your judgement on that one ---
Dang! On fire! But I like how you were able to still continue the run out even if you didn’t get the angle or position you wanted. I wish I could play in APA but I don’t think I can because where I live BCA and VNEA are the two main leagues Monday’s and thursdays.
I’d probably consider myself a level 4 maybe
Very good legend
Nice Run on ALL 3 Racks!
Awesome content...💪👊
I like it!
Thanks that was some awesome shooting lil Chris
GoPro is a nice touch! I’d like to see you play some 1 pocket!
Really like the Go-Pro!
Nice vid's. You could add - before you start your run, an overview of the table, mention where balls go or don't (if they are close/pass/blocked by other balls), why your picking the high/low set, and which you think will be your last ball. Then let us pause the video and figure it out.
That's kind of what I did with this video here:
czcams.com/video/zAak25mbtFU/video.html
This was a practice run of playing while wearing the GoPro. All your suggestions are thing I plan on doing in future videos.
I like this view.
Good shooting man.
Finally someone put the view in d player position
Liked the GoPro.
this camera on the top is pro man
Very well down may I asked what cue sticks your using ?
My shooting cue is the Predator Blak4-5 with a 12.9 Predator Revo Shaft, and my breaking cue is the Predator BK Rush.
Excellent!!! Possibly tilt GoPro up just a little to see entire table when shooting.
I set the tilt of the GoPro with the view of when I'm breaking from the center of the table and can see the rack of balls and the corner pockets. I used that view for the rest of the video only to find that not every view will allow you to see everything.
Knowing we've you're trying to do would help more. Like im putting a small bit of low left to bring it back up table etc
Essas caçapa grande também vem pra as do Brazil as sinuca de bar pra ver se vc faz isso kkkk
kkkkkk verdade, aí tá fácil kkkkk
Very nice. Maybe you can saw your camera everytime so de can see where See yok looking.
Thank you
I felt like me who was playing
Our leagues are starting back Monday when is your league starting back? I really enjoy watching your league matches.
Our leagues may start up around June 15, but I’m not exactly sure just yet.
Hey what kind of felt are you playing on? I enjoy that because I could tell what side of the ball u was hitting to get Position on the next Shot.
The felt is what ever the default felt is for Diamond Tables, which I believe is Tournament Blue Simonis 860.
I thought the view was very helpful
Thank you for the help.
Nice adding the GoPro... indeed adding commentary before going down for the shot would’ve been nice too
Great perspective. what kind of felt is on that table?
Tournament Blue Simonis 860. I believe it’s the default felt that comes on a Diamond Pro Am Table.
Much better now
Very cool! Do you always, a little bottom spin when breaking and why?
In the case of 9-ball and 10-ball, the 1-ball tends to land near the head string so I try to play position for it.
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer I didn't notice what you did when breaking 8 ball, what do you do then?
Have a look at these 2 videos:
Playing The Ghost: 8-Ball Race To 3 - czcams.com/video/zAak25mbtFU/video.html
Breaking and 8-Ball Rack Two Ways - czcams.com/video/Pf-DVBopHSo/video.html
For this video, I'm using the same break as I was playing the ghost. Since I'm using a magic rack, I can get a very consistent pattern break. The head on break will automatically push the cue ball back, so I try to add a little topspin to push the cue ball forward to try to have in land in the center of the table.
When I'm not using the magic rack, like in a league match, I do the two styles of breaks from the other video.
Hope that helps!
You make it look easy it’s unfair 😢 , gorgeous video man love it love it
The GoPro is a winner backs up the shoot ( as in understand )as you talk it.
Chris. Here in Brazil the cue ball is much heavier than the other balls, so we are practically unable to put spin. What would you do in such situation? what is the most important tip you can give in this kind of game?
Are you sure about the "practically unable to put spin"? 3 cushion billiards balls are much heavier and spin is applied all the time. Then much like the opposite, snooker billiard balls are small and lighter, and spin is used there also.
What is the most important tip you can give in this kind of game?
Practice!!! What other tip is actually needed?
"Different strokes for different folks", right? Not everything will be the same for everyone.
As far as applying spin to a much heavier ball, have you tried applying just a little bit (1/2 tip off-center)? Do you just miscue, or does the spin just go away after contact if you try that?
I’ve watched quite a few of your videos and I’ve never seen you stay down better than on these 3. Is it the GoPro?
With the GoPro on my head I emphasize more and staying completely still so the camera view doesn't move. This has helped in my normal play as well, with remaining as still as possible, but they are still times where I can still see a little movement as I'm shooting.
It’s a good idea , please do all Q ball angals
Good shooting Chris, did you do all three racks in a row, or wad there some editing? Good video.
I record 3 separate clips together and edited them together.
ur amazing
