It was red and gold with a six shooter on the side with a bullet and smoke coming out of the chamber.. Dad would drive when things got serious. We had trophies and plaques all over the Den of the house. My friends used to poke fun and play the Primus song "Jerry was a race car driver". Because my dad's name was Jerry. Brings back memories. The sound, the smell of alcohol engines, the fire and smoke, and the rumble of the ground as they would go by.. Edit: I was looking at some of these recent videos of tractor pulls and so much has changed from 40 years ago. Minirods are little tiny things now from what they used to be.. They are more like lawn mowers now.. And big diesel super chargers dont have that choo, choo, choo sound when they are shut down anymore.. That sound was distinct. If you ever heard it, you would never forget it.. Modifieds and trucks mostly stayed the same.
That Van kicks ass !! You can tell it took a lot of engineering to put that together and still being able somehow to stuff that big block blown on alcohol under that tiny hood! AMAZING!!
Them are awesome machines, they could pull your house right of it's foundation...and the graphics and the names I love it...Big Daddy Magic, that's what my girlfriend always used to call me....or...well...that's what I always wanted her to call me
Just a thought to all that pull. I noticed a lot of dirt from the front tires going straight to the rear tires. That’s a lot of lose dirt. Would that stop the rear from getting better traction. Would some type of deflector behind the front help with traction. Just a thought. Like to see it tried.✌️
they would be mindblowing down the drag strip. For single engine vehicle's the super modified 4x4 is the highest HP class along with the super stock diesels, 3,000hp+
They might be able to pull it farther if they didnt burry tge sled mid pull lol easy on the gas.. u got the power. Let the engine do the work instead of momentum
Don’t laugh. Electric truck pulls will exist within 10yrs. Whether we want it or not. Fuel and parts are getting so $$$. It’ll be hard to justify competing at all.
Some of these shouldn't be considered a 4wd truck when there is just a motor strapped to a frame with a seat. Id say if doesnt have a bed its not a truck.
