Milo (Bill Hader) lip synchs "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship to cheer Maggie (Kristen Wiig) up.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Craig Johnson's drama The Skeleton Twins stars Saturday Night Live alumni Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig as suicidal siblings Milo and Maggie. After Milo cuts his wrists, Maggie moves him into her home in New York where she lives with her husband (Luke Wilson). Both brother and sister are dealing with severe emotional issues stemming from their own father's suicide, as well as their absent mother. While back in his hometown, Milo reconnects with a former lover (Ty Burrell) who was also his high-school English teacher. Bill Hader has never been more attractive than in this one scene.
Dorothy Michaels OH MY GOD YES !!!!!
can't argue with that. and just got divorced recently, so....
@@maziebunny2
Sorry about the Divorce.
I love tootsie!!
ok, I thought it was just me lol
I just realized Milo uses all those bracelets throughout the movie to hide the scars from the suicide attempt
I do the same so I noticed immediately, and couldn't stop crying
I cried when I noticed that
my mood went from 100 to -4 real quick thanks
I noticed it pretty quickly
That's what I used to do when I was suicidal
Is it weird that I feel like Bill dissappeared into this role? He literally did nothing to change his appearance except cut his hair and yet I don't see any "Bill" there ...it's all Milo. He's so talented as an actor it blows my mind.
Linny Crocus Ikr I love him so much
I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND
That's called a great actor!
That’s... Bill being a bloody wonderful actor. He’s brilliant in everything he’s ever been in.
Linny Crocus, no, it’s not weird at all! That’s called being an absolutely brilliant actor.
Best clip to get you out a bad mood.
That's Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson's younger brother.
No question
thats why im watching it now
Agreed!
This always cheers me up every time I watch it, reminds me of me n my best friend growing up, we would always lip sync songs like this...
Everyone praises Bill, but Kristen's transition from pissed to reluctantly joyful in this scene is what brings me back again and again. She sells it.
who would have believed that she have the power of nuance in her acting
Amen
the song is awesomely written, produced, and sung by Grace Slick & Mickey Thomas.
agreed. perfect timing.
Yes, but don’t be a Hader hater.
When i first saw this even now
I smile and tear up because this scene is AMAZING
ditto
ok i got it!
me too
saw this movie months back, still when i see this a tear finds its way..
i was SOBBING when i watched this for the first time and i couldn't figure out why
Deep dark depressing movie. But somehow it just worked! Great performances from all the cast, i have a lovely soft spot for bill and thought he was magnificent. Definitely one of my favourite films this year.
David Forster do you guys know any movies like this one? Depressing and funny..
Ma A Young Adult with Charlize Theron is pretty dark with drama, funny at times, awkward, and seems unfinished. Reminded me of this. I absolutely love that movie. But nothing will beat this scene lol.
It's what's happening every day though.
Hard movie to get through but very good and this was a great comedy relief scene!
Alicia Fox That's Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson's brother.
The thing I love the most about this scene is this is truly what siblings are like in reality. Their chemistry is sibling level irl, so I'm sure they had a blast making this movie. It's an extremely depressing movie, but I really enjoy watching it (especially for this fantastic scene).
So funny you said that about siblings. I just sent this to my sister and said our song! Lol
I do this for my best friend when she has a panic attack I she watches me make a prat of my self and it makes her laugh.
your lying.
you're*
oh yea? i do this for my best friend when shes having seizures.... usually makes the seizure worse but man am i fabulous lol
I do this for my friend when she’s having a bipolar episode
Dead
Kristen and Bill are life.
His pure joy when she joins. Gold!
Bill Hader, one hell of a sexy guy
Yup. I am very lesbian but bill hader... Im strait for this man
@@solarsb8312 I'm quite the reverse!
Whelp-
Too bad he’s straight!
I watched this film for the first time yesterday and I still cannot get over it. I keep coming back to watch this scene repeatedly but each time, I grin like a maniac while watching it, but then all the emotions from the film come back all at once and it's overwhelming. This film is absolutely incredible. I don't get the chance to watch many films, but I'm glad I was able to watch the skeleton twins because I'm confident that it will remain one of my, if not my most favorite films ever for as long as I live. I love the overall feel of the movie: the perfect balance between comedic and melancholy, I love the storyline, I love the moral, and to top it all off, Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig are my two all time favorite actors. And the fact that such hilarious comedians can also take on such serious roles so perfectly is absolutely incredible. I love everything about this film.
I feel totally same.
@@marijodarko187 I really wish I could watch the whole thing but I can't
Yess!!! Thiss!!!!
Yeah me too
I haven't even seen the film but I keep coming back to watch this!
I also love that Hader has a natural tension in his eyes, and certainly a need for a “please, come with me in this.” His vulnerability and strength in this scene is amazing! Love that “comedic” actors are showing their bones here!!!
I watch this every day!
i just come back to this scene every few months its just so good
Me too. Impossible not to smile while watching this. Knowing the context of the scene, though, I also get a bit teary-eyed.
I see so much Stefon in this performance 😂😂😂
Jana Lodahl I mean, they're both gay Bill Hader characters
Yeah man
Hahha... I was like.. Damn.. Stefan made cameo
1:50 claps crack me up
Ladybug Andrea they’re kinda on beat too😂
👏👏👏👏👏
Even though it’s such a small factor here Luke Wilson is so good in it. He just shows up, sees what’s going on, smiles and says I’m outta here. He knows it’s their moment
I think his reaction helps Kirsten change her mood
His whole performance, though small, is great. Such a great cast.
@@krenwregget7667 land mines man!
best scene of the movie
*the movie just ok for me but, damn.. i love this scene, great cemistry between they two.*
@Grace Ellen *these two
*chemistry
@@cherisedavidson5933 *chimestury
Jake Pullman absolutely not.
My best friend showed me this movie and now this is our song, we play it all the time for each other and we even know how to do the hand movements from the both of them. Stellar movie and unbelievably incredible scene
That's so sweet!
Do you have an opening for a best friend
This scene makes me so happy. I can't explain it, it's just pure distilled joy even though the movie as a context is a bit depressing, but this scene is just a gem.
Also the little claps as soon as Kristen got into it are so Stefon and I love that so much...
This movie is amazing. Highly underrated.
Luke Wilson is definitely the best actor of the Wilson brothers.
I used to do this for my sister when she was in a bad mood. Not with this song, but it usually worked.
the bridge of the song.. bill's pointing finger.. the slow closing up of the camera.. why did I teared up? so beautiful
Bill Hader has become one of our most beloved national treasures! God I love this man!
Very good movie. Wiig and Hader were fantastic. Their SNL days/friendship translated well on screen. You'll cry and laugh at the same time.
And then comes
"Maybe you should've cut deeper."
The magic of balance just brings me to my knees.
1:49 heart melts
The way he moves his shoulders 00:29 😰 I'm in love 🤒
I love his face when hes waiting for her to sing and she doesnt
My Chemical Idea*-* me too!
Whenever i feel sad, i just watch this clip. It makes me feel better. Bill is a ray of sunshine. 💜💜💜
lol gay clap at 1:50
Julie Rosenjack 😂😂😂
I just watched this on Netflix. a great movie made all the better by this unexpected and superb scene. I never fancied Bill Hader before, but he was gorgeous and very sexy in this movie.
Wha.... This _was_ on Netflix?!
He clean up real nice in Trainwreck , and I don't usually like Amy Schumer 😉
Gloria Kushala very true. The only reason I love that movie is because of Bill.
1:48
Kristin is effortlessly funny. The restraint here is what makes it perfect
ok but you can see the pure joy in their eyes when Kristen finally begins to lipsync with Bill! it's honestly goals!
Like Wilson’s face is priceless 😂
1:38 Luke trying not to laugh
I gave an ex her first kiss to this song at their concert at Great America in Santa Clara in 1987.
That's when they used to give out the concert tickets that didn't sell, for free, to the employees, the day of the concert, usually right before the concert started. That's when they used to search you for any kind of recording device, like they would pat you down and go through the female's purses, and forget about weed, they would usually just arrest you, no questions asked. We saw two shows that way.
1:03
And that's exactly what we did when the song first started...LOL. We stood up on the bench.
I still remember that night vividly. Actually that whole year, that was the best year of my life. The best music, the most fun, cruising, meeting girls, getting phone numbers. I miss that job, it was the most fun job I ever had.
It's amazing how he faded in Milo, also WHAT AN UNDERRATED MOVIE OH MY GOD
me: *thinking about watching skeleton twins* i’ll watch some clips first!
this video: *exists*
me: I’m watching the movie.
Bill Hader is so funny and adorable. I can't believe I had not heard of this movie until I watched an interview with him. I can't wait til tonight when I will have time to watch it.
Literally the greatest scene from this movie!
Such a towering beautiful moment in the middle of a painfully realistic movie dealing with hard issues. A great movie and honestly one of the best movie scenes imo of all time
while this was happening a guy and a mannequin was eloping on a hot air balloon somewhere else.
😂😂
Why does this song make me laugh and cry at the same time? It's magic!
LOL Luke Wilson’s face when he pops in at 1:17
The song is wonderful, the actors are wonderful. This scene is everything
If this song comes on the radio or even the streaming service at work, I will do Bill's dance moves always now.
1:51 cured my depression
god this scene is just so wholesome it makes me so genuinely happy
I never really got the magic that is Bill Hader until this movie. Now I totally get it!
I can honestly say no matter the mood I watch this an smile thanks for sharing
This is one of the top 10 cinema moments and i wont argue it
I have never laughed as hard as I did when I first saw this scene. I was in a fairly packed cinema, and I was laughing so much I had to stifle myself a bit otherwise I would have made a scene. And the whole movie is wonderful, too.
Bill low key got moves
The whole movie, but this scene especially, really gets the sibling relationship.
This is my go to clip for when I'm feeling blue...always makes me happy.😊❤
Anyone else like cry when they first saw this?! GOOD GOD!
Epic lip-synching and mimic perfectly on point... ...I suggest that some of today's lip-sinching stars take notes.
They are so cute. This scene makes me cry.
I love how he tried to pull lance in!
Idk what it is about movie scenes with siblings dancing together but they’re just a whole new level of amazing
This is joy
Why... can't... I... stop... watching.
Me too
I'm addicted to this
Shontaye you both stay
i have never been more attracted to a human than i am when i watch bill hader in this scene and i can't explain why.
I have to see this film.Only found this by accident😆
When I have a bad day....I come here ❤
I hope all of you are watching this and smiling, too.
Not to mention the incredible lip syncing! CHEFS KISS! 😘
I love him dancing, so good
God these guys are brilliant!
I cannot hear this song without thinking of this.
Is it weird to watch and listen to this before I start my day? Been doing it for a month now 🤣
I need Bill Hader and Rainn Wilson to also be twins in something?? 👏🏼👏🏼😃😃
The characters had obviously done this before many times, presumably since they were kids because of the age of the song; the precision timing and lyrics, and with Maggie typically taking the Grace Slick vocals (based on Milo’s cues).
What’s great is that Milo takes on Maggie’s part exactly as if it was his own, when he realizes Maggie’s not having it. He’s disappointed but keeps it going (“nothin’s gonna stop us” - not even you being angry)
A fun way to depict that he’s prepared to back her up with only a moments notice while still encouraging a recovery; for her and also to keep them both going - either to thrive in life , or maybe to simply keep the charade going as that’s how they learned to survive.
1:40 The ice is melting and I love it!
How many times can I watch this and still be so happy?
This makes me feel so happy, watched the movie the other day and have to keep coming back to this :)
Their natural friendship really makes this scene
Dude so last year I watched this film for the 1st time and when I finished it I immediately restarted it. The film is so good.
I was smiling throughout this whole scene
This scene is totally amazing. I love it.
I've never seen or even heard of this movie, but I just cried watching it over and over. 💚
Still watching it
greatest scene of all time.
It's weird that this video gives me goosebumps!
I just found my new favorite movie scene
Everyone could agree when they saw milo bust a move they said work it queen
Gotta love that guy Bill Hader lol…he gave it his all …best in comedy!🎉
They are both incredible actors. So underrated and deserve more recognition
What is the name of the movie
I love this movie so much.
I’ve not seen this film & after seeing this clip I don’t think i should. It brought a genuine smile to my face that I haven’t maybe witnessed for a good few years. Also happens to be the song my mum used to sing to me as a child.
Absolutely brilliant
Why am i feeling sad but happy at the same time watching this....I must be weird....
Love him ever since this movie😍
I saw this clip by complete coincidence. Made me get the whole movie to watch it. Was worth it, Loved it!
1:34 Luke Wilson trying so hard not to laugh
When she start singing ... 🤩
I have such a big crush on Bill hader after watching this
Same.
This is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. I save this clip in my break in case of emergency file.
