Given that many brands have launched quite a few good quality large diaphragm condenser mics in the range of 10-15-20k during the past few years, how do you rate Rode NT1A in the family of budget condenser mics standing in the present day?
It used to be quite popular (it still is I guess) although priced a bit high, it delivers great quality for sure, and I myself own one. Just curious to know your views!
No mic under 20 k can complete rode NT1a. Only NT1 is better than NT1a.

Hi Darshit,
First of all thank you very much for the valuable content and previous advice that you give us.
I asked you a question some time back to take 1 year break and explore and practice full time and your suggestion was to balance between music and job to play for long term.
But I have two questions
First, when I won’t be doing any other work and will be focusing on learning full time won’t the probability of succeeding be more as I’ll be investing more time in learning and knowledge?
Second, my thought right now is that even if I’m not able to make it I’ll go for masters (and then again start some job) but if now I won’t explore it right now at 22 then it might get late to take the risk of trying to do it full time.
Also planning to do a Audio engineering and Music production course by Mix with Vasudev as I’m from Delhi to make the process better
I might increase the duration from 1 year to more as per how the direction is going otherwise plan B is to go for masters
Also I might venture into DJing as well if my music would fall under EDM otherwise music production as the first option is for sure.
Do you think the decision is now feasible?
