    Put the Velocity deck on the Wright ZK and you have a perfect mower

    I used to use Scag, and to me there is nothing that compares to Wright. Wright is more heavily built, but the amazing thing is the way they stick to a hill. I have one of the worst accounts in Wisconsin. It is a semi fuel center, and has many berms that are 30 degrees. I used to do the hills with a stand on Scag and a walk behind Scag. Now I do the hills with just a 61" Wright, and can somehow stick to the hills better than I did with the walk behind. I think it has to do with the lower center of gravity, due to the engine dropping with the deck. It is the most impressive thing I have ever seen a mower accomplish. The deck quality is also equal to a Scag, which is also impressive.

      Here in Wisconsin as well. All I have had was Scags. For years I’ve been trying to talk myself into those wrights but never pull the trigger due to the whole cut quality talk. I think you just convinced me on my next mower.

    Have you had any experience with Grasshoppers new stand on mower? It's a game changer!

      Unfortunately not, until recently there has been no local dealership for them and I haven't gotten to see one! I have heard great things about the Grasshopper mowers, I just wish they would update their aesthetic look to be slightly more modern.

    @WrightMowers I wish I had the chance to chat with Ed. He's a chap 100%. Determined to be the best, the best is what he is. I haven't touched a commercial mower since 2015ish. Left off on a Hustler (idk what make it was).
    Wright to me is like what lesco was. Everyone I know, are the same Ed knows, and they swear and will die on the cross for wrights. Lesco was a tank company, quality wise! My neighbor still rocks his 90s lesco belt drive. Still the best looking cut on the block. I hope to get my hands on one some day. But Oklahomans don't really have a use for wrights sadly. Our weeds and clay just destroy mowers. But it's mostly john Deere dominant here.

      @@Ed.Wright Ed!!! Holy cow the man!!! I'm speechless. I gotta get to y'all! Oklahoma is so boring, I wouldn't mind putting a wright to the test with our weeds and clay soil. Lol

    $11.5k to $12.5k for the scag? Our local dealer is around $13.5k for the 61" 38.5hp.

      Pricing does change a lot, and if you are financing the price usually is higher to buy down the interest rate to 0%. Right now the V ride with the 38HP Kawasaki engine should be $12,699 + tax if not financing. Each dealer does have the right to set their own pricing though!

    I would put the Aerocore deck above the velocity. That extra inch in height is massive in grass cutting terms . I can cut lots that I never would have considered before

    • @lawnfreak3543
      @lawnfreak3543 Před rokem +2

      The scag cuts better and leaves a better stripe but the aero core cuts better on wet grass my right cut so well on wet grass unless there's lightning or the ground so saturated with my foot sinks into it I keep going

      Thats awesome! My buddy has a vride 2 and he says it disperses wet grass really well. Im in ny and that was one of my biggest concerns. Ive been struggling to grow my business with a dinky 2006 residential husqvarna ez4824 😂 so if you can imagine i was clumping alot. This new vride xl 52” with 40hp is going to be a gamw changer for me. So excited. Should have it in a couple of weeks.
