Welcome back to my channel y'all! I'm back with a short video, showing y'all why I ONLY RECOMMEND MACON STYLES 100% HUMAN HAIR for LOC EXTENSIONS!!! My client insisted on during their own bulk hair from a local beauty supply store. I warned her that the quality of the hair would not be the same. It's important to invest in yourself folks! Permanent loc extensions should be crafted with great quality hair!

When using bulk, ANY bulk, you should wash and condition it first, before spending the time to make the locs. This way you make sure it can take conditioner and see how it behaves. I'm is a situation where I made the locs, then washed them, then installed them (salt/pepper). Ended up with partial human and partial plastic. The plastic revealed itself after about a month - there were sharp fibers all over my dreads. I took hours over the course of a week to hand make 60 dreads (16-18")for a mohawk and have to replace 50 of them! In the meantime, I spent a month grooming and interlocking and maintaining what turned out to be junk. There is a shampoo that removed dye - get some. There is purple shampoo to fix yellowing from bulk salt/pepper. Unless it says unprocessed, they have dyed the hair and that dye tarnishes the gray. I don't want nasty yellow gray when my natural gray is white silver!!! I did get some human that was decent, it's 10 locs in the front of my head - but it's yellow (TAKE THE HAIR OUTSIDE! I didn't notice until I went out for the first time in public and looked in the rearview mirror to check my drag - YELLOW grays!) 😫. Now I'm in the process of testing hair in order to replace the 60 in my mohawk - I'll also need to purchase a lot of extra for repairs going forward - so it matches. It's a process. People think us with extensions have it easy - not so. I have prickly half plastic locs that stick together like 90s braids burned at the tips! BEWARE: Some of the hair can be coarse bear hair or animal hair from sheep or yaks. You know how they are... 😝
I brought a pack last eeek and return it back. It was human hair but I just didn’t like how rough it was. It has great reviews on Amazon but I’ve decided to be patient and grow my own

Yes you are correct. I purchased it too and its not the best quality and can't be dyed.
Also tell your clients to go to sams beauty they have a cell buy one get one free the price was 29.99$ but they change it to 12.99 I ordered five and got 10 packs it’s 100% human hair no blends looks just like bacon styles hair only con is it Hans strands of grey hair in some but that doesn’t bother me . Just giving alternatives and the hair works wonders

Definitely! The bad hair is more appealing because you get two bundles of hair for around $10 and the high quality hair is $25 per bundle. Buttttt, as you can see from the video, the bad hair has many cons!
Omg...i bought like 10 packs of this hair about 2 weeks ago. Not many reviews on this hair so i thought it was good. Randomly came across your video and now disappointed that i bought it. I washed and conditioned my hair today so that i could start on it tonight or tomorrow. I knew something was off about this hair because its too soft. Not a 4c feel to it. Well im going to make the best of it not to waste my money. Just wished i saw your review sooner. 😔
I can tell you some good news. These extensions are holding up well and they look nice. My client understands not to attempt to lift the color. So, as long as you don't plan to lift/bleach. Appearance wise, you should be fine. Good luck sis. I'd love to know how it turns out!!

I have a question that I have not seen can you use if you have a softer texture hair can you use like a Brazilian Afro kinky with the curl at the end or do you only have to use the Afro kinky hair do you know the Brazilian or the Mongolian has a different curl pattern but it'll still work I believe what are your thoughts?

Depends on the head size, thickness of LOCS, etc.. etc..

I WENT WITH THEM SINCE I COULDN'T AFFORD MACON STYLES AT THE TIME. I USED THE 8 INCH CAPELLI HAIR WHICH STRETCHED TO ALMOST 10 INCHES AND HAS BEEN HOLDING UP FOR TWO YEARS!😊 THE 8 INCH TWO PK DEAL WAS $26. I DID THE STRAND TEST AS WELL. I CAN SEND YOU THE LINK IN CASE YOUR CLIENTS ARE LOW ON FUNDS. THEY ARE NICE PPL. @@CynsationalLocs Read the reviews and look at the pics. You can tell that the ppl who knew what they were doing loved the hair as opposed to those who didnt know what they were doing. one lady said it isn't human but it is bc i bleached a few which turned platinum blonde just to test. It looks like she tried to bleach a jet black,which isn't as easy as lifting a natural brown color 😑

I am considering loc extensions. I have been reviewing the hair you suggested. My question is this, can the Macon hair be used for the wrap method?

IMO, it would be a waste of money to purchase 100% human hair to have wrap loc extensions installed. However, the hair can be used for whatever purpose you want and I'm sure would give whatever style you chose a more natural look and feel.

@@kaieshiapotts8708 hi, it is a practice of mine to wash all loc extensions prior to installation and/or shipping. I wash and air dry. Water exposes any potential weak spots.

That’s who I use for my loc extensions. I haven’t found a better supplier for Afro bulk hair yet.

Quemaine Green They held up great. None ever fell out or anything. I have since cut all the extensions from my natural locs. I’m going on 3 years this September.

wow that is terrible. My daighter wants her two strand twist locs extended so would have to hold my coins for macon styles. She has sensitive scalp. I can see that would cause irritation of the scalp.

Wouldn't recommend the fake hair in this video... If you are to buy 100% Bulk human hair, then it would depend on how big your head was and how dense your hair is to determine how many packs of hair you would need for your LOCS.
My question is can you clean the processed loc extensions ?
Well, yes they can be washed and dried on a cool setting. Overtime, they did stop bleeding color.

What about Exyhair. Is that human hair? It looks more like the beauty store than the Macon.
I don't have any experience with that brand. My rule of thumb is to avoid beauty supply hair when seeking a permanent style.
I just got my hair from Exyhair and I’m returning what I didn’t open. The hair I received wasn’t soft, it’s stiff like super stiff. It’s smells like kanekalon hair even when doing a burn test. It passed but just wasn’t right for me. Mad that I bought it but you live and learn. Macon styles is good. I bought their hair a few years ago.

On occasion, but I prefer to create and install as I go to allow to help ensure the loc to part ratio is best for each individual head.
