  • Up to 95% of our healthcare workers have experienced verbal or physical assault. No matter what the situation, it's never OK.

I think anybody that abuses a health care worker should be banned from seeking any healthcare including emergency ambulances for life if you abuse healthcare workers you should no have access to future healthcare lifesaving or not

Problem starts from the top. Governments have become derelict in their responsibilities. People are hired into jobs they shouldn't hold. People hold bad attitudes from both sides. Don't think this will get better until the government does. My latest hospital visit had some poor experience that just shouldn't be there and would be easily resolved, but humans finding simple solutions hard to come by. Good luck humanity but I think it's all down hill from now.

Sometimes the 'abuse' is self-defense. Nobody's talking about that. But sooner or later we're going to have to talk about it.Patients in the USA are being bullied every day in the health care system. We have a right to say no.

Assaulting someone is not saying no. And all 3 times I was physically assaulted by a patient it had nothing to do with consent. 2 of the 3 times I was punched it wasn’t even my patient and I was not giving care to them, touching them, or even speaking to them when they lashed out.

Most of the nurses and doctors do an excellent job but try living in the country with some of the staff at the bass hospitals they are so rude to people so its not always one way
