Dude i just purchased my 1st 1/5 scale baja (red/black) from you yesterday....the order was Gregory Brown....thank you it's my 1st, didn't know you were on CZcams 🎯💯👊🏾❤
Great video 👍 Looks like Dan doesn't need to be on camera that much anymore because Owen is doing a great job👍 ...It would be better if you could avoid to use the piston stopper and instead hold the flywheel in place with a tool 👍
Good tip! Holding the flywheel is nice to do but the piston stopper is also very convenient. I've never had an issue damaging anything, the torque is not very much.
Just bought the same clutch set up. I had the puller and had a brain fart, this was helpful on getting that clutch mount off. I burned the fiber style clutches up after so many tanks. When I pulled them out they always only rub on the center of the shoe. I hope the 2 spring style with fan makes a great improvement. I'm gonna test it out tomorrow. 👍
@@nicholasmazzone3386 I have had great luck with the steel 2 spring clutch. No issues so far but I did end up replacing my old worn out clutch bell as well. It bites hard and works great through the powerband. I ordered another spare clutch for when mine gets worn out but haven't needed it yet. I recommend this with how many fiber clutches I have trashed in the past. I also got the rear wheels spinning nice and smooth to prevent unnecessary binding and that makes the clutches go even faster. Hope this helps you out.
I have a Zenoah 32cc engine and a RovanSports CNC gearbox complete 2nd gen. A RovanSports CNC fast on-off clutch bell carrier kits as you show here does not fit together with a Zenoah engine.
Excellent video! Do you happen to have a video or know where I can find a step by step video (or manual) for assemblying or in my case, re-assembling the front-end that someone else removed? I have one that just needs the front end put back together and I really don't know where to start. I purchased it new from someone that put upgraded parts on it but with the front-end off and really want to get this truck running. He never finished putting it back together. Thanks in advance.
great installation video man! though something i personally don't like is when bearings aren't loose. for example; i like to have my clutch bell rotate buttery smooth so no power loss(or very little) occurs. im not sure why yours isnt spinning buttery smooth but i have a sneaky suspicion that the 2 clutch bell bearings are being squeezed a little.
This is a good point! The bearings could be slightly misaligned. I've found these issues can resolve themselves after a few heat cycles. Might be a good idea for the next video to show how to get everything super smooth tho! This Baja is also a parts bin special so it was never perfect from the beginning.
@@fearlessrcstore heat cycles could make m loose up as well, good point. parts bin or not, i do think this one looks really cool (with the color scheme going on). also excuse me for my rambling but, is it a common issue that the top plate sort of breaks near the brake rotor on the left side (when looking at the rotor) ? i installed a fresh plate a month or so ago and it happened to break at the exact same point lol
@@VintageCR that same plastic bracket broke on mine the first time running it after break in. I believe it led to the total destruction of the diff housing. Not sure how or why? it is a brace after all. New aluminum rear diff and clutch bell support with that bracket milled in should be here in a couple of days. I knew I would have to throw money at this thing but geez man. $200.00 bucks and I haven even let her rip yet.
@@ballistictuna9295 Mine runs great with the VRC silenced rear pipe now! though last month i purchased the VRC Pro Side pipe none silenced (for engine sizes below 32cc). i wanna test rip her but the weather is and keeps getting colder n wet this time of year in my country.
Hi bro great information👍 .. I just recently purchased a Rovan Baja 5B buggy I'm looking to upgrade my spur Gear and pinion gear for more speed any suggestions?
Hey Fearless RC, I am pretty new to RC cars and i got myself a Baja B5 its super cool... I just have one question for you, when do you know how to chance the clutch, can you hear it on the motor or do you have any idea when to change it !!! greetings from Denmark.
Usually if its slipping (not accelerating good at all) or it's stuck always engaged (stalls when you hit the breaks) that's when you need to fix or replace it.
check the pinion screw holding the clutch bell is tight, also make sure the bearings are aligned. You may need new bearings or the clutch housing could be misaligned.
I have a rovan baja and it wont move i checked everything and it seem fine but when i rev it just revs high and won't move just wondering if you have had a problem like this.
The launch will be very similar, this clutch has the advantage of being more reliable and less likely to over heat. Engine should not need to be retuned.

It's nice isn't it. Had mine for years but it's a good time
Thanks fore sending all my new servos to my Prime monster Truck v4 👍
Thanks your video helped me a lot

@@fearlessrcstore ok, so there is no worry that something is going to broke, good to know that 👍

Do you sell that red handle for the hex bits?
I see you dont have the bottom support bolted on for the pipe I had to bend mine to get it to fit
Yes sometimes that is required to get the bottom mount to line up
Love to make mine look like this but you can't even run a tuned pipe at my local race track
Hello, Which type of screwdriver u use? The red tools that can feet with all the things :D it so nice actually
We do not have this exact one, but we sell very similar tools on our website, check them out here! fearlessrc.com/tools/?orderby=date

My clutch bell bearings one ring is kind of loose and the baja kind of bogs the clutch bell goes front and back front and back like if it was loosed
check the pinion screw holding the clutch bell is tight, also make sure the bearings are aligned. You may need new bearings or the clutch housing could be misaligned.

That's usually the clutch being stuck closed if you checked the rest of the drivetrain out.
How will the launch change over stock and will it need to be retuned.
The launch will be very similar, this clutch has the advantage of being more reliable and less likely to over heat. Engine should not need to be retuned.

What are your thoughts about installing a 3 speed tranny?
3 Speed is a great upgrade. I personally prefer the 2 speed because it is more reliable, but 3 speed is good too!
What the hell? Mine never came with that finned piece. That could explain why it worked like crap.
