- FINALLY! after over a year of planning, and six months of extensive work, the clear cylinder head is done and working! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Amazing job ! You have some serious skills.
WOW, he commented! Good job down to a science
👍👍 looks pretty sweet. Now you just need to save up a couple thousand for a slow motion camera!
Chronos 1.4 is my dream camera and its only $3500
That’s actually pretty amazing. I will eventually do the same on my channel but I first have to run my mini engine.
that was *AWESOME!* amazing job, I didn't realize there'd be so much required to do it. my favorite clip is at 4:12 you can really see it well. I hope I do something at least almost as epic sometime in my electrical hobby
Love it!
How is the Acrylic holding up? I want to build one of these and want to know what material to use for the head. Thanks!
it holds up fairly well, obviously the heat from gasoline combustion deteriorates the acrylic slowly, so right now it’s not as clear as it used to be but it still runs fine, and now that i have the plans and some experience making it i could make another one pretty quick. i made a clear head for my black 5S but it’s a lot more crude as it’s just a square piece with holes in it.
@@WildfoxFabrication Cool! I going to use an old Tecumseh engine I have and put a big flywheel on it so it runs nice and slow, hopefully that will keep the heat down. Thanks for the info!
@@colin_5839 yes that should work ok. i have a big 20lb flywheel that mounts on a 5/8 shaft and it runs nice and slow, the problem now is that my carburetor butterfly doesn’t close tight enough to get it to idle slower. it’s a beast to pull over, though. 🤣 it also helps to have low compression, that keeps the heat down. stack 5-7 gaskets (or as many as you can while still running ok) and it doesn’t burn as hot.
@@WildfoxFabrication That's funny I was having the same issue! I think it runs slow enough and I believe that when I lower the compression with those head gaskets as you mentioned it should help.
It holds up really well, but the trick is only run the engine in short bursts, if you allow the combustion chamber to get hot it starts eating up the acrylic
Cool video man. Came after PF video. Nice editing and CZcams skills. Let’s see more science and more of a how to.
What screw is that your using as a spark plug? How did you come up with that number head gaskets? Was it just a guess?
i just stacked gaskets till the valves cleared. and the screw is just a wood screw lol.
Down to a Science hey it worked. I wonder what’s the science behind it and if it can be tuned to run better.
Thanks for the answers!
@@dogle9258 yeah I was trying to finish up the build quick so I didn't do much tuning to it lol, but hey it runs reliably. I always try to spend as much time on the editing as I can to make it enjoyable to watch.
does it turn clear by itself? or do you have to do something to it?
whether it is necessary to pour oil into the fuel ?
nope it uses the stock oiling system
How many gaskets did you stack because I might try to make one with a 5hp
I think it was 5 gaskets
@@WildfoxFabrication ok so I’ll probably just go until the valves clear
@@legowarriorsadventure3613 yeah thats what I did
How many head gaskets did you use?
Four or five I don’t remember exactly
So I made something similar and if you play around with the carburetor screw the flame should be mostly blue which means that the engine is running at the right air fuel ratio if its mostly yellow and it likes to misfire at idle then it's too rich. You'll hear it though where it sounds the happiest is where it's adjusted properly. A blue flame though isn't great for demonstration purposes because obviously a bright yellow flame is easier to see.
Wich engine this?
It’s a 1972 Briggs and Stratton 2.50hp engine
@@WildfoxFabrication thanks buddy. I am from india this engine not available here . So iam planing to make one my yamaha rx two stroke engine . What about your opinion?
@@PerformancebikersIndia94 As long as the head is big enough for you to see into it and also have a spark plug that should work it just probably won’t last that long because two strokes get really hot. But if that’s all you have then go for it!
@@WildfoxFabrication 😊👍
I made it . Please watch my channel
who’s driving?
yes
