This is what Christopher Pittman, M.D., FAVLS, FACR, FACP(Hon) stated in podcast earlier this week.
"The future of medicine, at least in our country, with few exceptions, is volume efficiency outcomes.
Hopefully not in that but you really need to do volume, be efficient, have good outcomes.
At least in our country, the veil on healthcare costs and values being torn off, that is pretty apparent these days. Payers in the government can really see your quality and your payment if you're a good and efficient and low cost physician.
And of course, patient experience matters. Align, consolidate, change or die.
That's a dictum Charles Darwin. Super sub -specialization is actually growing in our country.
Winners distribute care faster, cheaper and better. Maybe familiar with the business dictum, faster, cheaper, better. Pick two, okay.

Personally, I totally agree IF THAT'S THE GAME.
Business is a game and the delivery of healthcare is no different.
