He tko’d moraes when he was ranked #1, ko’d Edgar cold, Got robbed by dillashaw after ripping his knee apart, sure he lost to Yan on 6 weeks notice, Then incisioned song, embarassed chito then went on to dominate font, and he didn’t get a title shot. He can only clear the top 10 of the division so many times before he runs out of his prime years. Umar is good but the people still wanna sleep on Cory for whatever reason lol. The kid fought prime Jon lineker in his 3rd fight in the ufc only resume more impressive is maybe Rory Macdonald or rda?

I think Corey (outside of Merab) is the toughest matchup for anyone in this division. He is becoming so complete and is hitting his peak nicely. This is a very tough fight to call. We are going to find out how good Umar really is in this fight.

IMO if Umar’s previous fight taught him anything it should be to trust ‘father’s plan’. Khabib became great because of it and so did Islam. If Umar sticks to his game plan he can get it done otherwise he may get caught! Trevor is a great coach but so is Javier Mendez so this will be an interesting one for sure!! Just to reiterate to everyone that the reason the dagestani guys don’t have such great resumes is because the top 10 always duck those fights so they keep fighting the brave new comers etc. I do think that Nurmagomedov vs O’Malley will be a bigger fight than sandhagen so may the best man win cuz I do like sandhagen.
