@@KaptenMalaCh The finish of this race reminded me of Stay Gold and Fantastic Light in Dubai where he caught Fantastic Light by a nose. That was his first win in over 2 years before HK. Marche Lorraine definitely showed she has the fighting spirit Stay Gold had when he was racing.
Sunday Silence could have been the greatest American sire in history. He singlehandedly turned Japan into a world power in thoroughbred racing.

The female line goes back to the importation of the Australian mare named Shrilly into Japan over 80 years ago. Shrilly herself goes back to the half sister of an early Melbourne Cup winner.
Sunday Silence blood is most important factor in Japan.

8月ラストチャンスの未勝利脱出から初重賞、初G1、その初G1がBCディスタフともう言葉で表せれないくらいの嬉しさをくれました。

中央重賞の勝ち鞍が無いと言われますが、そもそも牝馬の中央重賞が無いというのもあるんですよね。矢作調教師は何度も「ダート牝馬では1番」と言い続けていましたので牝馬の重賞があれば違ったと思います。なので今回も「アメリカでも牝馬同士なら」という思いはありました。
まさか、こんな日がくるなんて信じられない！日本競馬史に残る大偉業！感動！
仕掛けが早いという意見があるのも頷けるし、実際私もそう思った。
しかし、チャンスと見て一気に行くのは「挑戦者」としての正しい姿だと思い直した。チャンピオンの座にいるわけでもない者が脚を余して負けることなどあってはならないから。
とにかく胸が熱くなる素晴らしいレースだった。賞賛する適切な言葉が見つからないほどの素晴らしい快挙だったと思う。
母の血にキョウエイマーチがいる…。泣きそうです。
今でも繰り返し視聴するくらい、素晴らしいレース
単純にマルシュロレーヌが勝ったことはもちろん嬉しいし、
レース自体も見応えのあるものだった
それにしてもマルシュロレーヌの血統を見ると涙腺が緩んでしまう
個人的にダンシングブレーヴと彼の産駒がめっちゃ好きなんで、それだけでもとても嬉しい
もちろん父オルフェーヴルの血統も素晴らしい

矢作のコメント通りアメリカのダートは日本の芝でも勝ててる馬がベストなんだね。ほんまデルマー開催まで待ち続けただけでもなくそうやって適正まで見込んでるのはほんと素晴らしい調教師ですね
JBCが金沢開催になったのを嫌ったってのもあるよね。
金沢競馬は自身の売上のために必死こいてJBC呼んできただけな訳だけど、
例年通り大井なり川崎なりで開催されてたらマルシュはJBCに行ってたかもしれないから、
結果的に金沢のファインプレーのなった。
ヤオ臭いのが気になるけど今回ばかりはありがとう。
絶対無理と言われたアメリカダートを制しちゃうのは本当に凄い。

現在の日本競馬の芝平地競争は世界でもトップレベルに達しているけど、ダートはまだ足りないってのが多くの日本のホースマン達の認識だった。
その認識を覆し、世界最高峰のアメリカダートでも適正さえ嵌まれば日本馬は勝てると証明したこの1勝は、とんでもなく偉大。
マーフィー騎手がカタカナの名前入りのジョッキーパンツを着用してくれているのが泣ける🤣

オルフェーヴルの血だなあ。それにしてもこれまでＢＣ勝っていなかったのに１日２勝（それもともに矢作厩舎の馬）とは歴史的な日だったなあ。これを見て思った。凱旋門賞よりＢＣに参戦した方がたくさん勝てる気がするのだが。

@@edenyan7237 well if that’s the case, then *maybe* they should try and go after the American Triple Crown starting next May. This is just me assuming that this stable’s a well-oiled machine despite not knowing who tf they are.
@@BigLouJo_XVI Dirt racing isn't that popular in JP, I doubt that would happen, besides the land use in racing are different: U.S. use REAL dirt for dirt races, but it is very expansive to keep real dirt in good condition; in order to save money, JPN put sand and mud on concrete to do their dirt race, that's why Marche Lorraine didn't win any big title in JPN because she's great at U.S. dirt but not that great at JPN dirt. (It is also the reason why chinese racing club fly half of the globle and bought stable in U.S. to train horse rather than doing racing in JPN which is just next door which will make everything a lot cheaper--JPN's dirt just not so great.) So it is extremely rare for JPN dirt horse to fly overseas, in fact Marche Lorraine is the ONLY JPN horse EVER won any G1 outside of JPN for the last 90 years.
The Turf horse there are at the best level but Dirt horse, we'd better believe this is an one time thing, amazing but don't count on it much. :)

ただそういう方向にするなら、明らかに質が違うから、ダートを二つに分ける必要があると思いますねー。
日本にはないけど、オールウェザーとかだと表面はぱっと見、ダートっぽく見えるけど、タイムを見ると芝に近かったりしますしね。

Marche Lorraine is trained by Yoshito Yahagi & he trained Lys Gracieux to win the Cox Plate. And I backed Marche Lorraine because way back in her pedigree is the 1880 Melbourne Cup winner Grand Flaneur.

@@poisonapple6138 Yoshida, who’s a G1 winner here in the US on both Turf and Dirt, is a descendant of Hearts Cry, who’s sire is Sunday Silence. He now stands at Winstar Farm. I’m glad that Sunday’s offspring and influence is finally paying off, especially for the Japanese.
@@clgmotorsport3021 They've been perfecting the breeding game for a long time. Japanese horses have been better built and are lasting longer with less hoof and bone issues compared to American horses. American horses have been struggling with poor bone density, sensitive hooves and generally less longevity than European and Japanese horses....
But Japan understood the assignment. 😂
When we're talking about grandbabies though....I've got a soft spot for Lani.
It may be an untouchable race for the American horse racing world, but it may have been a natural result for Yahagi.

Those races with big pace meltdowns are always super exciting. I had Dunbar Road and if she and malathaat didn’t keep bumping each other in the stretch they would have finished 1-2. Congrats to the longshot winner.

Dunbar Road was also hampered pretty bad around the far turn. 4 & 7 backed into her and she lost a couple positions. It's more visible on the pan view than it is here. That cost her big time. Picked her too, tough beat.
Doesn’t the photo show Dunbar winning? Clearly Dunbar won but I guess they needed the 45/1 to disrupt pick 3s 4s etc? Idk but it’s bad for sport! Haven’t watched races in a long time, checked out BC and I see this. Not good for sport

Proud of Clairiere. Put up a good fight. It did not break bad, but don't know why its start was slow, that allowed the other horses to close its path, having then to run just on the outside, making the wide turn. The Jockey may have initially been intimidated. Clairiere is a great horse man! Over all though, it was a good performance.
Rosario floated Santana wide at the top of the straight. Look at the race again
@@alioucisse1548 Clairiere was mugged like Codex did Genuine Risk, it was terrible, you can even see where Joel had #2's nose turned dramatically pointed outwardly, and 'where the nose goes, the body follows,' she couldn't help but go outwardly, and screw Clairiere...but since Clairiere finished ahead of #2, there's nothing the stewards could do, other than talk to Joel afterwards, which doesn't mean much

アメリカダートは粘土だから、日本の砂ダートと逆で、乾いてると速くて濡れてると遅いんだね。ここのところ、日本馬がアメリカ遠征すると雨ばかりで、通用するしないの指標にならなかった。これを機に、芝の強豪馬がアメリカダートの大レースを目指すようになるかも？

This race was a toss for me. It didn’t prove much. Letruska was definitely tiring out though, you could really tell in the Personal Ensign and Spinster. Wish they’d retire her before she completely burns out.
Definitely not a good sign at 1:43. She was the target of the race. So sad☹

@@nataliemar3183 Announced earlier this week! All the horses that competed in this year's BC, INCLUDING Baffert's horses, tested drug free. Horses are allowed to be fast, doesn't matter who the trainer is. You may recall Hot Rod Charlie's opening fractions at this year's Belmont, or Mendelssohn's opening fractions in the 2018 BC Classic, both were just as fast and those horses have different connections
Malathaat won the next year, Blue Stripe second, and Clairiere third. Then, was this regarded as miracle, radioactive, or the result by nature?
Looked like a dead heat to me. Must have been a nostril hair that made the difference. That pace was insane!
Just 1cm difference, think about it: racing horses are mostly about half a ton of weight, 1cm isn't really a difference for horses, we should consider give them both the title. :)

Private Mission's a fast filly on her own, has been her whole career. Fast horses set fast paces and sometimes, set suicidal fractions as seen here. The goal was to gun for the lead and beat Letruska and Shedaresthedevil to it, bc if they hadn't the race would've been over rather quickly. Thus the goal was achieved
Idiot announcers thought it was Dunbar road after the definitive angle showing the other horse was the winner a few frames earlier.
