Let’s not forget that Oscar’s comments about all the big fights going to Saudi weren’t appreciated by Turki Alalshikh. And he shaded him in one of the press conferences so him not working with Oscar and working with Eddie doesn’t come as a surprise to many who paid attention to this little detail.

I don't know about that, but Oscar is the one American promoter that actually does the visible promoting part as well as the background scheming part. Much like Matchroom/Queensbury, Matchroom/Goldenboy in open rivalry is a good thing for both of them and probably represents more of a partnership or at least willingness to do crossover promotions than anything else. Its the excessively protectionist closed shop promotions that prevent important fights.
