- This is the video you all have been asking for.
Part 3 of our Gen V Cam install tutorial. Brace yourself because it is a long one.
We did our best to show you guys step by step instructions on how to properly do a cam swap. We see a lot of other videos not removing the oil pan and not aligning the oil pump, among other things.
We do few cam swaps a week before shipping out drivetrains all over the world. Were happy to show you how we install them. Although it does take time and resources to make these kinds of videos for you guys, so all we ask is that the next time you are in the market for a drivetrain, cam , or other swaps components, keep us in mind. That way we can continue to bring you all more content.

Information is helping a lot ! Definitely need parts 1 & 2 back up !
This is exactly what I need for my work truck. Complete package with videos!
Great video man seriously you helped me out tremendously. I have to do a cam swap because the lifters messed up so I ordered a delete kit. I ordered my kit before I seen your video. But for now on to give you the support I definitely will order from you guys or refer you out! AMS racing is who I bought from
Where’s part 1 and 2 can’t find them 😭😭 looks easy watching but when it comes down to it, its not so easy lol but I wanna work on my motor soon. Hopefully by then part 1 and part 2 is back up cause this videos really helped ALOT honestly.
Great video!...legit building techniques observed ❤😮
Amazing video hope you guys can remake 1&2 before I attempt this! Also looked on your site and I’m not seeing any parts for l86 will you be restocking anytime soon?
Great video! Very informative & detailed! I was wondering about the fuel lifter install, to which side did you orientate the hole? I've seen some that install it to the driver side however on my 2018 5.3 the hole pointed to the passenger side. Wondering if it even matters. Thanks!
Do you recommend adding the Camshaft Phaser without removing the oil pump? Just asking if you doing a cam swap with the engine inside the vehicle....
Where can i get those same ARP head bolts for my 5.3 L83
helpfull
Can’t find video 1 or 2 of this series! Help
Anyway we can find part 1 and 2?
Great vid, can you repost pt.1 and 2?
I was finnaly going to do my swap and rebuild next weekend, and i wanted to re-watch the whole process so i dont mess it up, but parts 1 and 2 are no longer able to open from your main site, or able to find them on youtube. Can you put them back up?
Our original channel got delete, so they are lost to the world unfortunately. We're going to be refilming them soon
Really can't find part.2 of your video with the spring swap?
Lost in cyber space... we're working on filming them again though
So where the heck did the other two go? I watched them earlier this year and saved them because they were the most detailed video out there of this. That's unfortunate I'll have to find a different source for info now.
Hey off hand do you know the part number for the arp head studs for lt1 motor on the c7 corvette. Thanks and awesome instructional video.👍
234-4343 or we are fixing to use point one studs from btr once our arp inventory is gone.
@@engineswapsupply didn't know BTR Made head volts for the lt1. Learn something new everyday
I seen other videos of them pointing arrow straight up on sprocket? Is it either or
uuuuh, not that we are aware of. its always pointing to the dot on the crank gear, even in the LS
Do you have to install high pressure fuel pump with cylinder 1 tdc or is it just fine with the fuel lobe being on base circle
just make sure lobe is flat
I made sure I was at TDC when doing mine.
Hmm my Lt1 cam install has been a pain, I took a pic of my timing and i noticed on your pic the crank dot is a hair to the right of the cam arrow. Is that how you guys normally set them up? Mine has been low on power so i suspect im off timing
its not a little off, it can be off by a tooth but there is no millimeter offset.
Do you have to add assembly lube to pump or can you use regular oil
we use the assembly lube since its thicker. and we ship these. you should be able to use oil if you plan on firing it pretty soon
Hey . Is necesarly to change push rod and springs wen change a 2 stage cam?
Nope
yes, on these higher lift cams. there are stage 2 truck cams that are low lift that you don't need to change springs on. we always upgrade pushrods since they are cheap and a good insurance for the customer not to have to deal with a possible bent pushrod.
Whats the best silicone to use on the timing cover?
we've recently started using loctite rtv, seems to hold better on the boosted applications
Part 1/2???
Should u replace the two oil cooler O rings in oil pan?
Yeah I did. They are cheap.
we do, all the ones we've seen are still pretty plump. I wouldn't be worried about reusing them. as long as the stick out of there recess enough
Where Is part 1 and 2
Are part 1 and 2 no longer up?
Lost to cyber space unfortunately, we're working on refilming them.
@@engineswapsupply ahh that's a bummer. Look forward to seeing the new videos. Thanks!
where is part 1 n part 2
Where the rest of the videos ? Part 1 and 2 ?
Russia disinformation 😎☮️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Lost in cyber space... we're working on filming them again though
@@engineswapsupply thank you! It would be so useful lol
Where is pt1 & pt2 at gents?
Lube up your bumpstick liberally
i can’t be the only one that doesn’t see parts 1 and 2
