    My SIL just passed away from this. Hers was caused because her primary doctor prescribed her medications that were not supposed to mix. When she called him to tell him she wasn’t feel well with the new medication, he responded condescendingly and disregarded her. Told her to just take half of her new pill, didn’t even bother to check her or anything.

    When I go for long rides I make sure I stop at a rest stop to stretch my legs, stand and walk around. This summer when I went on vacation to 2 cities Williamsburg, VA and Myrtle Beach, SC with my kids and mother we kept stopping at rest stops and stopped at Restaurants to go to the restroom, walk, stretch and stand to get our blood flowing. Being on airplane long without getting up isn't good and that can lead to deep vein thrombosis. That's what happened to rapper Heavy D 10 years ago coming from London to New York City, he died days later. He thought he had the flu and collapsed on his lawn.

    Question at 17:00
    You mentioned CXR CAN EXCLUDE. is that true?
    I would imagine a CXR CANNOT EXCLUDE a PE if normal...
    And CAN INCLUDE if something obvious is there like HAMPTONS HUMP. So i think the more accurate thing to say is that CXR can NOT exclude PE. But i am not sure.

    • @xBassel92x
      @xBassel92x Před 4 lety +1

      nystagmus he said CXR can exclude other diseases like pneumothorax, but it in most cases cannot diagnose PE because the findings are usually not specific, like atelectasis. The specific finding like Humpton hump etc. are very rare.

    What do you think of ECG changes for PE of inverted T waves in the inferior leads along with the anteroseptal leads. I heard that those don't occur in may PE's, but when present together, they are actually pretty specific for PE compared to other ECG changes.

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis
      @MedicosisPerfectionalis  Před 4 lety

      They denote right ventricular strain (the right ventricle is trying to pump blood against a thrombus)...In the right clinical scenario, they are helpful...But they cannot confirm the diagnosis...When you suspect PE, you give heparin anyway, regardless of the ECG.
