In the US we use the term “white” to refer to white people that only speak English. There’s white latinos in the US too but we don’t call them “white guys” we just called them latino even if they are white as snow.
Like canelo, we wouldn’t say “he’s a white guy” (even though he technically is) we would just say he’s Mexican or Latino.
Funny responses, I thought it would have been more 50/50. I'm dating a Latina and there are cultural differences. One of your interviewees who was dating a gringo hit the nail on the head. She said that he is not used to the super romantic nature and VERY tight family bonds common with Latinas. That's been my experience, but the other stuff is all good.

Latino girls seem to be more picky than East Asian girls or East Indian girls (based on my own experiences & findings), and prefer Latino men like them or black, over white. Never under-estimate the power of traveling around the world, to witness firsthand people's cultures & preferences. Interesting.
