I own a ps4 and I think all Sony fans can agree that they need to allow cross-play for the fans.
And the worst thing about Sony's attitude and cross-play politics is that games like Final Fantasy XIV that were in process of negotiating a port for XBOne and Nintendo Switch cannot do that anymore.
I wonder when Sony will realize that they are acting like idiots.

A few years ago Sony wanted to do crossplay with the PS3 and 360, Microsoft was ahead in sales at the time and told them nope. The tables have turned for MS and Sony is pretty much just gave them the same treatment.
However that has nothing to do with Nintendo so hopefully we see some crossplay between them in the future.
Jon T Microsoft declined crossplay with Sony because their servers weren't secure and were hacked. They started charging people to use PSN so they could use the money to help secure the servers but Sony is being a child in this situation.
Microsoft has had it's own issues as well, so it is not completely about that. But regardless, at the time Sony was open to it and MS turned them down. So while Sony may be acting childish now, MS should have been more open to allowing it in the past and I think it would have been normal nowadays if that was the case.

+Zebra Gamer I agree but only as long as consoles isn't forced to play with PC. We all know what happened last time. Hackers & cheaters invading Xbox One through their cross play feature. Rocket League have done the absolute best thing. You will always play with people on the same console but the moment you party up with a PC player and search for matches, that is when you activate cross play with PC & consoles.
This way hackers & cheaters can't invade consoles unless you are playing with a friend who is using a PC to play with you. That is the best thing we can currently have.

Rocket league has cross play that includes all three consoles (in one match there can be players from pc/xbone/switch or pc/ps4, or you can have crossplay off) I played over 250 hours and I have yet to meet a single hacker ingame.

That failed acquisition happened 20 years ago, they were laughed out of the room, only for Nintendo to cower when the Xbox proved itself to the audience and left them out of nearly every event that involved Sony for years. However, now that Sony is going sideways, Microsoft and Nintendo decide to bite back, however, in their own ways (Microsoft buying out US developers, Nintendo attacking Sony in Japan)

But when Nintendo found out that copyrights of PlayStation would belong to Sony, they pulled out their support and so Sony continued the project on their own. And no, PlayStation has never copied Nintendo (except for PS Move, but other than that, no, never).

B man Its about more than that. Once an Epic Games account is tied to PS4, it cannot be tied to another console. You could be playing two separate games between them, but they won't allow it. The same is true the other way around. You tie the account to an Xbox or Switch, it cannot be used on Playstation. The lack of crossplay or save transfers is the tip of the iceberg. They disallow you from keeping your continuity with the publisher between multiple consoles.

10. Pretty much every game they make has micro transactions.

Digimario Gaming minecraft bedrock on switch has nintendo-exclusive content like mario mashup pack, but it cannot be used for cross play (crossplay will automatically be disabled when you play on that mash up pack). Sony could do the same thing.

Unfortunately, Master Chief & Cuphead will not qualify as their games have never been on Nintendo. The only characters Microsoft have that are eligible are Banjo & Kazooie, Joanna Dark, The Battletoads, the original cast of Killer Instincts & Conker.

Nintendo does hold the Donkey Kong copyright, but Rare was the one that made Donkey Kong Country in the first place.
Those guys behind GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Conker series have long gone. Rare is just an empty company now, re-releasing their classics.
