I'm one of those crazy English teachers. But I always tell my students that it's okay to make mistakes, no one is perfect, even native speakers sometimes make mistakes. I know I am not the best teacher, I admit there are so many things I don't know and many things that I do wrong. But I am sure that my students are going to confidently use English in their lives.

What I learn with pleasure I never forget. It’s true communicating can happen perfectly well even if I make mistakes. The ordinary Englishman is very leniently. A child comes home from his first day at school. His mother asks, “What did you learn today?“ The kid replies,“Not enough.I have to go back tomorrow.”

Hi and thank you for your note. I've got a few things for you to try. As the video says, don't worry about making mistakes. Also, next time you have a conversation with someone in English, forget about your English and try to do 2 things: 1) Focus on the message that your audience needs (why are you talking to them?...to help them with a message); and 2) what do you want them to feel from your message? (maybe happiness, or they need to do something fast, or there is trouble, or some type of feeling).
When you focus on your message and a feeling you want them to feel, you will forget about your English and just communicate so much better.!
Try it and let me know.

I have been trying so hard sir.
It’s really rare I’m proud of myself but more than two years ago I couldn’t even speak and understand people and know I can. I have been going through different emotions from happiness to depression with lack of confidence as well. Some relatives around don’t really believe in this retraining due to this one for them it’s only a “hobby” and other people when I asked some advice on what I should do to become one of them. They just responded me to give up, it’s not for me especially because I’m a non native speaker and also they added by saying “following my writing skills, they won’t never sign up with me for their kids” (I desire to be an English coach for kids(I must try because I’ve never teach before it but I love challenges)) (it was surely true but I got hurt the ways they told me that). fortunately I have two people who cheer me up a lot. Thank you so much for your advice,I’ll implement it and give a shot.
      Thank you 🙏

Thank you for writing. If I understand your question, I think you are asking if dialect or accent matters when speaking English. To me, the answer is "no," it doesn't matter at all.
What matters is that when someone speaks, it should be easy for other people to understand them. If we speak in a way that is difficult for others to understand us, it is like we are punishing our audience and making them work so hard to listen to us.
Make it easy on our audience. Speak clearly, but keep your own accent and enjoy English.

If you can find a podcast you are interested in AND find the full transcript of that podcast, then you can use that to practice your speaking.

If you ever get stuck thinking about a word, do this: Use another word or phrase that is more simple AND include a short example. The person listening won't even know you are stuck, because using an example can be so natural. Try it. It works!

      Hi grand how you doing?
I couldn't agree more about what you said. it's exactly what I tell to the people they are in a process of learning english stop worrying about your english, beleive in what you say use you own vocabulary and enjoy communicating with the people around the world. In addition to this to me it's mind blowing that people are trying to speak with a perfect english when you are a foreigner. it's all like if they've never spoken with some foreigner, what I mean is there are some people who have been leaving in France for a certain period of time they speak with a broken french but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy speaking in french with them.

Congratulations on learning for two months. That is a great first step. Please be patient. It takes time to become confident in any new language. My advice is to speak as much as you can. Get the words to come out of your mouth and use the language. Good luck to you.

Hello and thank you for your question.
My speaking voice in my videos is the same speaking voice I have in my real life. It is me. I have been speaking slowly during my whole life.
I don't really understand why some people feel it is great to speak fast. I believe that when you speak fast, you make it very difficult for your audience to understand you.
I believe we should be nice to our audience and always try to make it easy for our audience to understand us.
      Thanks again for your question.

Hi. Thank you for your question. The first step is to just try it. Think about what your message is. What are you trying to tell the other person. Focus on that message and speak from your heart. Don't think about your English, just speak and enjoy it.
Really, just try it. Don't have fear. I know it sounds hard, but it really isn't. Be free and speak. Don't worry. You will speak much better.

That is so impressive! I've always wanted a memory like that. I remember about 0.002 of what I read.
I have a different feeling about this topic. I strongly think that people need to stop focusing only on LEARNING a language, but instead focus on USING the language. A language is only useful if it is used.
Focus on USING English for your enjoyment of travel and I think you'll find enjoyment of English at the same time.
      Enjoy!

First, if you say I'm lying, I guess it makes me a little sad because I'd think that you seem to be very rude as that is a strange first comment to make to someone.
Second, I'd ask why you think I'm lying when I explain my reasoning very clearly in this video.
Third, thank you for complimenting my English.
This video is not about me. It is about non-native English speakers that clearly speak much better when they stop worrying about trying to be perfect.
      It works, try it.
      And please be nice.

Sorry, if I hurt you, First of all I don't know that much English. I am not used to speaking in English. But I have been trying to understand English. In my opinion, Understanding or knowing a language is important. If you understand the usage and structure of a language you will make less mistakes while speaking and you will not be confused with two or more ways to express things at the same time. Your brain will be automatically set for one way of speaking, It means you would be confident and would not be confused about which word I use or which way I express it.and also two words or two way will not come in your brain at the same time while you are expressing a thing. I think words are coming through your mouth without hesitation and the listener gets your exact Idea, then I can say One spoke in English. And also Grammer is a support for understanding a language for beginners. So as far as I am concerned understanding a language is more important than speaking. If you know well you won't make mistakes.
After all, I like the way you are Presenting the videos.Thank you.

@@user-bh5fh7mp9x Thank you for your meaningful comments. First, I wasn't sad for me. I was sad for you that it seemed you were possibly making a rude comment. Typically, telling someone they are lying is rude in any language, with any translation. There are more gentle ways to communicate.
Yes, understanding a language is important. And in some situations, one needs to only understanding a language from a reading or listening perspective. However, most people do want to USE the language and speaking becomes a necessary step. That is what this video is about. When speaking a language, don't worry about using perfect grammar and perfect vocabulary. Just as a young child does, just speak with feeling. They don't know how to read or write, but they can easily learn to listen and speak because they have no fear and they are not trying to be perfect. As we get older we fear making mistakes. So, we try to be more perfect. And this is a difficult path to success.
I encourage you to be brave and use my videos for shadow English speaking practice. Speak without fear and just enjoy using the language. Good luck to you and thank you again.
