  • Inspired by the night's guest, Melanie C, James kicks off the show wondering which "Spice" various Late Late Staffers would be. Then after an update from writer Nate Fernald on his extremely amorous t-shirt business, James dives into the news - but is quickly derailed when the topic of American Thanksgiving food arises.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

I can also guarantee that the very way my family's meal is cooked today is exactly the same from a couple of hundred years ago. Thankfully someone took pictures, and jotted notes in a cookbook, and you can tell it's all the same food. The marshmallows, I think, are a Great Depression/ mid century thing. I have not had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in awhile. Our you black? It's an awesome topping on yams sometimes. We can have all kinds of sides in addition to the main course. The bird oh yeah and the dressing.

Probably the same people who put raisins in potato salad. 🤮

Marshmallows go on “candied” yams. It’s literally on a desserty dish.

Americans don’t know what they are missing if they don’t eat black pudding, so perfect with bacon. Or the Spanish equivalent which includes almonds - sounds bizarre, but brilliant.

    • @elegantgitano

There are many Spanish types. One uses rice, another onions, the British ones traditionally use oats

When people are out shopping for the holidays remember how difficult the pandemic has been for small family owned stores.
I hate Turkey, pie especially pukin pie, bread stuffing and sweet potatoes that have been cooked in sugar then topped with more sugar. We have fresh seafood for the holidays.

I never heard of marshmellows in thanksgiving dinners. And its ridiculous to use other than at the end of a stick over a fire or with peanut butter.

I didn’t know robocalls got so bad in the US. Hearing that, boy am I glad it’s so heavily regulated in the EU!
Cold calling is illegal. With hefty fines. The customer must initiate it. Even your phone company won’t bug you about any grand new offers if you don‘t opt for it. Those calls were the last to die out.

@@maryannchaisson6742 on business lines you do get spam from international callers. I just blocked some country codes. But my private line? Not one call in years.
Adding to that, you have 14 days to step back from any contract made by phone (or online). You can waive it, which makes sense when not wanting to wait 2 weeks for your new mobile service. But you always have that option.
Businesses are counting on catching you cold footed. They perfect it. It makes sense to give you time to think about such a deal. 👍
