The one thing I TRULY missed from the JP Tatsuno version was the characters had their own main themes whenever they came into battle, it was a bit more hype than the generic tracks the US got, but they're still good tho.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars was actually released in japan as well, with all the extra features but also removed that genie character. So there are 2 versions of the game in japan, the original and the ultimate version.
NMH is one of my series of all time, I was even playing Travis Strikes Again watching you talk about Travis's over story within the series itself and it's interesting seeing the story that way learning about how Travis's struggles paralleled Suda's. Art is interesting, and I'm glad that you were able to take something away from the game like that since for the most part Travis doesn't like what he does either it was just a necessary evil.
I never see anyone talk about Bravo Air Race. it's pretty short with only 4 tracks but the physics, graphics and especially the acid techno soundtrack are really good.
Another banger video. I remember picking up Tatsunoko vs Capcom over Smash Bros as a kid because it was $10 cheaper and semi regret it but kinda appreciate exposing myself to these weird characters that'd I draw in my sketchbook.
Manhunt 2. The Wii port was the best for having the motion controls mimic the brutal kills, making it feel like you're actually killing the person. Also, it's the easiest port to unblur the kills.

In other news, I can confirm No More Heroes is quite a wild ride. In spite of its faults, there's nothing else like it on the planet, and you can se the series and director grow and mature through the installments as well. Or maybe that's me being crazy and overanalytical, hehe. Either way, wish you nothing but the best.
Forgot to mention, but if you're still collecting for 360 titles (Download or just retail?), a quick aside to Beat'n Groovy could make for some content for a Worst rhythm release aside from Rock Revolution. BnG is a rhythm game with only 9 songs, 1/3rd of which you can play for free. Plus the artstyle is radically different from the series it's based on: pop'n music.

One thing that could have been mentioned regarding No More Heroes was the fact that it was originally censored in Europe. All blood and gore was either replaced with a cloud of black particles or just not shown.

I'm glad I'm not the only person that knew about Tatsunoko VS Capcom
"Wii would like to play"
- Jehovah Wii-tness
NMH is one of my series of all time, I was even playing Travis Strikes Again watching you talk about Travis's over story within the series itself and it's interesting seeing the story that way learning about how Travis's struggles paralleled Suda's. Art is interesting, and I'm glad that you were able to take something away from the game like that since for the most part Travis doesn't like what he does either it was just a necessary evil.
When you first said you were doing the Wii, I knew De Blob would be here.
How did Movie Games save Nintendo?
It saved me this spliff for a rainy day. Wooop woooop
I wonder if Pan would talk about "weird" PS1 games. It's not exactly his style so specfically but yeah.
Sega Saturn would be more interesting, the ps1 is abit overdone.
Thorhighheels made great videos towards Japanese exclusive PS1 games along with some Saturn games.
I never see anyone talk about Bravo Air Race. it's pretty short with only 4 tracks but the physics, graphics and especially the acid techno soundtrack are really good.
@@brandonsanchez7465 YES Thorhighheels makes some top notch videos covering the PS1 era.
Fuck yeah man, absolutely adore the No More Heroes series. Shinobu best girl.
I remember getting a red WII and Super Mario Galaxy for Christmas one year.
Another banger video. I remember picking up Tatsunoko vs Capcom over Smash Bros as a kid because it was $10 cheaper and semi regret it but kinda appreciate exposing myself to these weird characters that'd I draw in my sketchbook.
I am so glad you called attention to Frank yelling "Dead rising!" in crossovers for some reason, that always bugs me.
That NMH video at the end was beautiful. Thank you
Boom Blocks (which was basically just a 3d version of angry birds) was a game i use to play all the time on the wii , anyone else?
I did! What a game. I haven't heard anyone at all talk about it in... well, ever.
I do
I rented it almost every friday from the local video store (when I wasn't renting a lego game or Meet The Robinson's for the 800th time)
That sounds vaguely familiar, like when you get deja vu about something you're not sure actually existed.
That one was kind of a big deal when it came out, Steven Spielberg was involved.
Manhunt 2. The Wii port was the best for having the motion controls mimic the brutal kills, making it feel like you're actually killing the person. Also, it's the easiest port to unblur the kills.
@@josepheropkin1849 I mean yeah, fantastic game to relieve stress. You ever used a handsaw to cut into someone's shoulder?
Everyone go play Sin and Punishment Star Successor, that game is brilliant and criminally underrated
and so expensive online .....
@@SilverShion Granted I did pay like $5-10 for my copy from Gamestop several years ago, but it's still not THAT pricey, at least nowhere as much as I would fear (see: Pandora's Tower). It's still worth it I'd say
Bought it for $5 at GameStop 4 years ago, freakin love it
I wish we got Sin & Punishment 3 so bad
Innocent sin and eternal punishment
DeBlob's concept reminds me of that one joke relating to the black and white area in duckman where cornfed comments as he and duckman turn black and white: "It appears they don't want people of color here."
33:57 - Yes Travis, I will do it with you. As long as H03$ aren't around. lol
For real, this franchise deserves more love and good timing since NMH3 is coming up. I also recommend Killer7, if you are strange and unusual as me and are super curious in games.
I remember playing tatsunoko vs Capcom in a friend's house at one point. Such a good game.
I'm glad you covered Elebits.
Such an underrated classic on the wii.
Kickass no more heroes montage at the end
19:15 What is this Data Design Interactive
40:36 I love these bumpers that you make. You could make nothing but these types of segments for your channel and I would be all over it. The editing is unique, the sound design is on point, and the sense of rhythm that you achieve is amazing. Keep up the good work, Pan, and I hope to see the Loki IRL animatic soon.
P.S. I love the comic and hope to see how you expand the rules of that universe in the future.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE ANIMATIC PAN!!!! I'm very excited for you. I've been following you for a long time and i'm happy to see you finally doing what you love.
Best of luck on the animatic, Pan! You're a talented lad with a ton of inspiring influences and ways of showing yourself off, rooting for ya while your pen swipes away.
Disaster Day of Crisis deserved an Honorable mention
Unfortunately, this game never got an official US release. There's a video from Matt McMuscles that explains why.
I had a huge dopey grin on my face when you started talking about Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
Hugely underrated fighter I've gotten into recently.
"A fully functional *Beam Katana* off eBay."
Seeing Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom talked about in this video has made my heart so happy. I still adore the game to this day. Easily my favorite fighter.
The Nintendo Wii, easily the best 7th generation console!
Easily, very easily!
Eh
It had the best exclusives, but that gen had a lot of great multiplats that it missed out on.
eeh is ok console but sure he has really good game.
idk very subjective imo. My personal favourite was PS3 but Wii also had some solid games
Man, i still remember when i played deBlob as a kid. Was the first game i ever completed and thanks to it, color mixing is now ingraved into my brain.
Thanks for reminding me to play it again.
Saw the video cover and hot excited. I loved the hell out of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom! From the music to the aesthetic and characters, this game was dream for my creative head! I'm still frustrated I can't find any of my old games because I always kept them in case.
You don't know how badly I'd kill for a full fledged sequel to this game so badly 😭
hope Gloria's ok
So happy they're bringing back the town for No More Heroes 3
I actually completed no more heroes a week ago, so im happy. I played on switch btw.
I can't wait to replay it on Switch. I'm waiting for the Limited Run copies I ordered to come in, which I hope is soon so I can play both before the 3rd one comes out.
For the longest time I didn’t actually think Elebits existed but I just KNEW I played it. It was one of the first games I ever played. Im glad to see it again.
The first two minutes reminded me just how much I love Pan's content. Funny, informative, stylish, great editing, I've been a fan for ten years and always will be. Keep up the great work!
One thing that could have been mentioned regarding No More Heroes was the fact that it was originally censored in Europe. All blood and gore was either replaced with a cloud of black particles or just not shown.
That was an amazing video I'm so glad somebody talked about Elebits it's one of my favorite games on the Wii and barely anybody talks about it. I really enjoyed you No More Heroes bit and I want you to have the best of luck on the animatic. Also since your covering the Xbox 360 I recommend Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise and Kameo.
"Fossile Fuels", is now my favorite quote from this channel
10:53 Imagine having Matt himself train you.
Travis saying "fuck head" has stuck with me for years.
Man I forgot how good elebits was. Now that’s a HD remaster we need.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom is SUCH a good game, I actually modded my Wii specifically to play the original version (trust me, you're not missing anything with the minigames)
That Elebits art seems familiar, and what a surprise, it's made by Akihito Tsukushi, author of Made in Abyss.
Sad I had to scroll so far down to find this comment.
I wish Tatsunoko vs Capcom was ported to modern consoles it looks so fun
No more heroes is extremely underrated smh
It still got 3 sequels and a mii costume in Smash Bros, but with that being said, it's still kinda of a cult classic series.
It sold well enough
It's so weird to see you do sponsorships. I remember years ago watching you rip open a loot crate violently.
You’re one of the only “gaming” CZcamsrs I still watch, consistently great. Keep it up Pan.
Do you watch Woolieversus? He's pretty damn good.
Nice vid! That no more heroes segment was hitting hard I didn't expect that. Hope you finish that animatic your working on, it looks good so far.
Anytime I see No More Heroes get some much deserved love and attention it brings me so much joy! It's a fantastic series that needs more recognition.
And your personal project sounds cool! I'll be keeping an eye out for it and voice acting!
Im super excited for your animatic, I have been following loki irl's development for years and its a great concept
Finally someone else who also loves Moonview Highway
Super Paper Mario. Originally going to be on the Gamecube on 2005, but moved it to the Wii. Also an expansion of the Bowser sections on TTYD and the last good Paper Mario game until everything went downhill with Sticker Star.
Yeah the same game that my small mind back then couldn’t understand. Literally I couldn’t get past the FIRST stage.
