Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, or simply Interview with the Vampire, is an American gothic horror television series created by Rolin Jones for AMC, based on the 1976 novel and elements from The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. The series begins with the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) recounting his past life and tumultuous relationship with his maker and lover, Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid). The series embraces the queer elements of Rice's work, which are only insinuated in the 1994 film adaptation of the novel, and deals with themes such as race and abuse. It is the first series set in the Immortal Universe, a shared universe based on Rice's novels.

All I can say is that in the books, Daniel EVENTUALLY ends up a vampire. After being Armand's minion for years. As for the show - who knows. Armand, though, oooh he is really trying to make himself the victim

i dont think his parkinsons would be considered a disability when turning him because back in s1 louis offered him the dark gift so he could haave a steady hand to walk his daughter down the aisle. to me, when armand was telling daniel his backstory it was kind of a manipulation on his part so that daniel could be like "oh okay i like u a bit more now that i know ur history" even though said history was mainly fanfiction that painted armand in a halo's light. i feel like with the files from the intelligence guy daniel will put two and two together and he'll know the truth about claudia's end. i think we're leading subtly into that, and we are in a way that seems like its not the full truth, like louis is repressing memories and armand is hiding stuff. especially with the claudia pages. ones that louis asked for when he started remembering (ep1) but we havent seen since. but what we have seen after that is armand coming in on the record to kind of steer the story in a way that he likes. and to go back to a scene that stuck with me "you led him there so he could destroy it" "if it had come from me they would have never believed it" this applies to lestat and the children of darkness, louis and the theatre, and daniel in dubai. it seems like armand's pattern.

Yeah, Parkinson's is technically an autoimmune disorder if I'm remembering correctly and so if he gets turned into a vampire... Vampires don't get sick so your immune system doesn't really matter anymore and so I don't think it would be considered a disability in the same way. In the human world, it absolutely is considered a disability... Autoimmune disorders can be incredibly disabling... But for vampires who don't have to worry about their immune system ...I don't think it matters.

    Enjoying this review panel.
Claudia is tragic. In her human life she was orphaned and abused. Her vampire maker called her a mistake. Her Daddy Lou/Brother betrayed her. Bruce assaulted her. Antoinette tried to kill her and now this. Anyone would go mad with all this betrayal. However, i dont get the sense Armand means to harm her, it seems he is just stating a fact that vampires leanred from earlier bad experiences turning one so young. I do think it is interesting what Kay said about Armand following the rules. Im excited to see how that may play out .
Ill have to give some more thought to Louis, I am disappointed that he isnt protecting Claudia. The way Claudia is played, it seems to me she would have been like let's go even if only Armand knew. She was practicing the story about Bruce because she u/s if they slipped, they would be in danger from the coven. Just think he should have told her and given her a chance to save herself.

That episode was intense hahaha in my opinion both Lestat and Armand are self-centred narcissists that’s why they’re both infatuated with the same person…

Literally they're basically the same.😅 The only difference is that Lestat is more overt and boisterous when he wants something and Armand is sneaky and calculating.
Because I really think they care about Louis and they don't do what they do to be malicious or evil. However, they both go way too far

it justs seems like all that "love and care" Louis had for Claudia is just gone now. He would have never left Lestat even after that beating, Claudia made all the moves. He was too obsessed with his own self-loathing. All that carrying on and dramatics in season 1 when she ran away was for nothing then?? Because Armand literally spelled it out for him that Claudia is finished and he didn't grab her and run. Just like with Paul, Louis is going to blame himself and internalize the guilt of her death(but at least this time it will be his fault). He knows she's on borrowed time, but can't seem to even tell her because he wants to be around Armand.

I’m so disappointed in Louis but idk why I expected anything more Claudia was turned for his own selfish reasoning to begin with😭

@@StruggleReviewzTV right, it made no sense. do you feel like he was compensating for something like being a homosexual or at least bi man during that period (with his upbringing that certainly wasn't ok) and maybe he needed to feel "masculine" again by having a child-Claudia? Or was it something else entirely? I just know if he gets to crying again like he actually cares about her when she dies, it's going to piss me off lol.

I don't think he can't tell her because he wants to be around Armand - I think he's afraid to ruin it for her. And since they can read her mind, if he feeds her doubt and anxiety, she could doom herself. And he knows this is the only time she's been happy in years - decades, even. Cozying up to the boss probably even looks like a good idea in terms of keeping her safe... If Armand ACTUALLY had the control Louis seems to think he does. Or was fully willing to use it for anything beyond selfish means...

In the books didn't Daniel gets turned into a vampire. And I think it was by Armand. So it might happen in the show.

I’m late to the party but if you were still curious in the books Claudia was turned at 5yrs old and Armand was turned at 16!! Louis was 23 and Lestat was in his early 20’s as well ✌🏼

I genuinely think they don’t know what Daniel was doing because I feel like they’re acting like Claudia in that moment, they see the red flags and they are ignoring it… why? I don’t know, they may have their reasons.
