How to use a paint edger. Paint 4x faster with results.

In this video I show how I used a paint edger to speed up the process of repainting my son's bedroom. This quick tutorial also compares how long it takes to paint around trim using a brush vs. using the edger. I found that I can cut in all of the trim and edges about 4 times faster than using a brush. This saved me a lot of time, especially since I needed 2 coats of paint to cover this dark room with a light grey. Feel free to use the links below to find the products I used in this video.

At 0.47 you can see the edge doesn't cover all the way to the door trim, you've got to do that portion by hand I guess?

Yes, you can even screw it onto an extendable pole for tall ceilings. Just avoid getting paint on the wheels.

Would a Whizz Edger work as well?

Same concept. I just like the one shown from Shure-line because it has the wheels that can be flipped up and out of the way while loading paint. The only issue with these edgers is if you get paint on the wheels then you spend more time cleaning up the wheel marks than edging.

Bro 4 mins to cut a straight line on the left side . Professional painter here can cut a straight on that frame in less than a minute . Haven’t seen such short brush strokes in all my life
