- Sorry guys for not putting this together on the weekend. But just could not do it. For those that understand what I have had to do you will understand that I had to sell the farm because this was needed for the old boys.
I brought this farm for the horses not for me. This day was going to come and that was the day I had always decided to leave the farm to the horses. I will explain all this in the next video which hopefully will be tomorrow. But this is all I can share at this time. I have not watched this until now and I am still gutted that my kids get old and become so sick I have to make the call.
Thank you to everyone for your understanding and kind wishes. We are ok and are getting there. With the stress of moving, it is a bit horrendous but also, we have some good news on that front.
The sadness you must feel for what you have to do to release your old friends must be devastating Chris even though it's the best thing you can do for them. Bless you Chris for giving them the best lives, love and care, while they were with you xx

This is always the most difficult part of enjoying a time of our lives with these beautiful animals. Chris, what you’re doing is the last act of love you can give them. You are about to spare them what would otherwise be a much worse time. They’ve lived well under your care during this last leg of their lives. Now let them go to sleep with you at their side, where they can dream forever of grazing green pastures, trotting gentle hills, and snacking from purple plum and sweet crabapple trees.
The hardest thing in life is too make the best decision for our beloved fur babies. I am so sorry.
Chris, Like two other commenters above, I couldn’t watch for long. Just long enough to hear you say it would take place out of sight for the other horses. I will appoint my beloved dog Susie as their guardian angel. I’m sure Neveah and Chance will comfort you. So sorry.

Your decision was the best for your elderly horses. We love them so much throughout their lives and then have to love them enough to know when they need to be in peace. My heart aches for you. I've been in your situation with old & sick horses in the past & I have been thinking of you heaps recently. ❤
This was hard to watch but I forced myself. I believe that following someone's journey means taking on the ups and the downs.
This reminded me of the day my dog was put down - the morning cuddle, the breakfast, the walk - all knowing it was for the last time. Losing so many horses at once would be so horrendously distressing added to which is the unavoidable fact that their size makes it so physically difficult as well. So terribly sad, we all send love and hugs.
The last sequences, the horses loose in the paddock, were really beautifully filmed.
Chris of course you are heartbroken. Just bcos you are doing what is right&kind for the horses doesn’t make it any less stressful &heartbreaking. Take good care of yourself Chris. I’m sure Chance will be there for you he is so caring & he’ll pick up the emotions. 💕😢🙏

I 'm with you Chris for I knew that feeling to keep fur kids out of any pain in their very old and illness age. At 62 this yr I still can't leave the memories off my brain since 1998 I rescue my first cat to 2022 let go of the last cat of 22 cat I rescue while she was suffering kidney disease. Just keep going your way to go forward with kids that living in best care and loving from you. Chris you are the best mom of fur kids and you give them all you have in their life time. Oh Chris, I can't watch your video but am thinking of you. I can't imagine how you are feeling. Having pets/animals often comes with that awful decision of knowing when it's time. I have only had to make that decision once with our lovely dog Harvey and it broke me. You have done so much for them and they have been so well looked after 💕
The love and care you provide the previously unwanted that have entered your home and heart...you are amazing and so kind.... of course this is one of the hardest things you could ever do...
But they are unwell and their quality of life has now diminished.

Ah Chris, this is heartbreaking , I know how upset I have been having to part with my cats , one that I’d had for over 20 years . I loved them , they were my constant companions and knew me as much or more than I knew them. It breaks your heart and the horses are bigger and been with you for so long . Just watching this much is brutal. I cannot imagine how hard it was for you Chris but all I can say is you have done your precious friends the ultimate kindness. Watching the other horses reacting to their friends not being where they have always been is so sad, I often think its harder to watch an animal mourn their mates than it is to make sense of the loss and say goodbye ourselves. I am so very sorry Chris.
I was so pleased you adopted Chance. You are marvellous with your animals and this is a very sad time for you. But, your decision is hard for you but so very kind to your horses, who you know so well. The price we pay for loving our pets is very high at the end.
