OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! I work a lot with wigs and I always spritz them down with Bath and Body Works body sprays to keep the musty storage smell at bay, so being able to reliably switch them to a spray bottle more suited for that application has literally just saved my wrists from carpal tunnel! You rock!!!!! ❤

Love this. Most people just throw them in the trash but it is so wasteful! I have too many under the sink that I refuse to throw away but wanted to open one and make my own travel size but can’t get it open so I will definitely try this method. I like how you explained everything in detail.

The same thing happened to my best friend where the top came off and I told her I'd put it in a travel size spray for her, but never knew how to get it off. It may take both some extra time and elbow grease since I didn't know it could come off in 2 parts. It's a scent she loves that I bought for her either last summer or earlier this year in the summer time. Based on the label, it sounds like 1 of their summer scents that they don't have or seel around holiday time. The 2nd piece will take longer for me b/c literally wrapped downward around the plastic itself and it's nearly a fully bottle. Like no, I'm not going to dump it and I'm going to be determined to open it one way or another.

Thank you so much! I did figure out how you were getting it to come off in one piece. When I saw that you were rocking it up and down with the pliers then turn the bottle a little and regrip with the pliers repeating the rocking motion it will loosen and come off in one piece. This is exactly what I was looking for, there is a scent that I really like, but they only come in big bottles and one of my travel size containers will be out soon, and I would love to be able to pour the contents of the bigger bottle into the smaller one for its travel use.

I gotta BUNCHA bottles with like a centimeter left in them. I wanted to blend some of the vanilla/creamy scents.
That could work and make really nice fragrances
I transferred mine to smaller bottles too
I peeled of the labels from the original bottle and cut down to fit small bottle .

Thank you! I just got a new scent that I love, and it was the last bottle of it at my store. The cap was broken and I didn’t mind. Until I noticed I always grab them from the cap. I grabbed it from the cap, the bottle fell to the floor and snapped that spray piece right off and I’ve been freaking out about how I’m going to get all that liquid out of the new bottle.

It’s always the really good sprays that get discontinued and the ones nobody cares about stay around for a lifetime. 😂😂 I try to buy at least 1 back up when I really like a spray because it probably won’t come back. I wish they would bring back pear and praline. I went through 2 bottles and bought a 3rd on Amazon which I reserve exclusively for the Fall.

I did this with a cotton candy campaign bottle I broke. I used three target up and up mini bottles and labeled them. I did not want to throw a whole bottle of body mist away.

Thanks girl omg this thing is hard to come off . I don’t know where my pliers are like yours but I’m using something similar. I wanted to take the nozzle off so I can recycle the bottle . Whew thanks . Now I need to use up my mini mists with the easier non clear nozzle whew. The top part came off easy though . *edited to say* Got them off two bottles thanks.

Yes!!! I’ve been doing this for years. I take pliers and pop that top right off and pour them into a smaller bottle. I put them in one of my sol de janeiro bottle that I’ve emptied. Also, have you seen the new Victoria secret mist? They look promising. Can’t wait for your review if you dextrose check them out

I found your video as the top result in a Google search to remove the tops from these! I'm about to try and filter one of my shimmer sprays (going to try cheesecloth first and then maybe a coffee filter) because I'm just not at a point in my life where I want to be covered in glitter. I was thinking pliers with a towel to stop my from breaking it might work but I didn't even consider getting extra spray bottles from Amazon and just moving it over. 😂 Your video was so helpful!!!

Thank you so much this was a lifesaver I was pretty frustrated that I couldn't get the caps off the 15 oz spray bottles, and I thought there must be a way! I still have some of my old spray bottles of the small size that holds 3 oz and they have the regular screw off caps that they used to put on them and don't anymore, that I wanted to take on the plane and now I can.❤️❤️ 😍

The outer ring came off and I used a flat head screw driver to lift the edges and pry off the inner one. It wasn't pretty but successful. I was able to replace it all and it still works just fine. Got enough out to fill my travel bottle. Yea! Thanks again 😊

Sometime the pump will snap back on but if any broken pieces are within the spring likely it won't screw back on if it's something you order or went into store from bath & body works you can exchange it☺

I have a few that are like this so I have a shimmer mist spray that’s easy to open so I’m gonna use that one because it’s empty. Also I work at Bath and Body Works no one has shown me how to do this yet. I love my job so much.

So transferring the liquid doesnt affect the alcohol in the mist? Like the scent doesnt dry or anything in the process?
I haven't experienced that the smell is just as it was in original packaging as long as it's sealed up it should not dry out

Do you know if maybe there is a top spray that can go on the original bottle that you wouldn't have to transfer it if you wanted to keep it in its original bottle?
I did search for that but nothing showed up even if there was an original Bath & Body Works bottle it still seemed like you would have to use a tool to open it because it's not a spray bottle where you can twist and open it... that would be nice if they offer that😊 though

The original cap won't tighten up anymore. Once it's open it's open ☺️

You see, I want to keep using my first edition Strawberry Poundcake ffm bottle without breaking it. I plan on refilling it with more Strawberry Poundcake from another packaging I’m not particularly fond of. Either way, this video has been really helpful. 😊
