In this video I'm gonna break down how I created a boat in the arctic ocean in blender.

Really cool.
Thank you so much!
The ocean lifehack is amazing, as your work really like it man
Thank you! I'm glad you find it useful!
Surprised to find this here, as I’ve randomly stumbled upon your Reddit post recently! This turned out so well! And I really learned a lot of cool tricks from this video!
Wow! The texturing is outstanding. Love the snow on the window. Great attention to detail man! You're going to go very far with these skills :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it - That means a lot! I've seen some of your tutorials btw - they're great!
Very cool Edin.. The final result is outstanding.
Thank you so much! I'm very happy you think so!
The end result is crazy good looking. I love the ice.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!
let me say I am really genuinely amazed I can't do that your art is amazing and very humble about it!
Aww thank you so much!
@@edinspiegel and may I ask you in one of the castle videos you used image of tree to scatter how did you get the image?
@@penguin2701 Sure, so I just appended the tree model into a new file, and then I used an orthographic camera to render it out from a side view - the two important things when doing so, is to 1. have a transparent background and 2. either use completely white, flat lighting (which is what I did) or try to match the lighting to your main scene. I hope that helps!
@@edinspiegel Thank you I might have found a video saying the same thing but do you have any tips for grass rendering my computer can't handle tons of particles and I am making tall grass.
@@penguin2701 I mean it depends... if your camera is really far away from the grass, just mixing different grass textures together, and turning up the bump really high could be enough - oh also you have to maybe turn down the specular - eventhough it is kinda incorrect to do so, at those distances it's the only way to get it too look good - I suggest you look up the youtube channel "maarten nauta" - it's a gold mine for that sort of information & is where I got it from - especially these videos:
czcams.com/video/CSawWe5qYmY/video.html
&
czcams.com/video/O5XedLoKWlM/video.html
. if the camera is really close to the grass, but in the distance there also is a lot of grass, then I would suggest to have the high-res grass models near the camera, and having just flat planes with grass on them in the distance (just like the trees) - I hope that helps!
Pretty solid result, well done. I think the visual astethic was a bit better before the grading in resolve, but thats somewhat subjective. But what i would definitely change would be the ending of the video. Having worked so long on the result only to have it interupted with the next video suggestions is just a waste. Adding a fade to black in the end where the suggestions then appear would be an easy fix.
Thank you! yeah you are right! I'll add that fade to black thing in my future videos! - yeah I think so to - the grade is pretty subjective - so I totally get why you'd prefer that "darker" look before grading - though I still prefer the result after grading :-)
This looks amazing
This is phenomenal, I would love more in depth break downs if you ever had the time!
Nice tip with metaball!!!
Nice work!
you are a huge inspiration
Oh thank you! That means a lot - I'm so happy to hear that!
Super Cool, will try something similar...👍👍👍👍👍👍
Scene looks amazing, can you make another tutorial on color grading 3d renders in Davinci?
Amazing!
I saw your post on reddit a couple days ago, turned out great
Thank you!
danke für das tutorial, ich werde das vielleichl mal nachmachen
I sure could have used a few of these tips when I was working on my Boss Fight entry.
Hey man, awesome video. If you ever struggle with noise texture looking like noise texture, use multiple noise texures of different scale and try using a different imperfection texture too. Mixing all these adds more variation
Thank you! yeah that sounds like a good idea - I'll try that next time!
I love your content!
That's amazing to hear! I'm glad you do!
Are you planning on making a whole tutorial series on one of your projects, instead of a breakdown? maybe you can upload it to udemy or smth, i'd buy it.
The result turned out very nice!
Some small details are too minor to deal with, especially since it took only 4 days!
Just the biggest standout that it feels 'off' Is the boat being stationary...
Even though, it's rocking. But again great job overall :)
Thank you! yeah that's true - that looks a little weird - I did animate it moving forward, but I guess it was waay to slow :-)
Hey, I saw that your Blender speed while making animations is very quick and has good quality. What laptop or PC do you use?
Hey there! I have a GTX 1650 TI, a Ryzen 5 4600H and 16 gb of ram - I do have to say though, that in order to get any usable playback speed, I have to optimize my viewport quite a bit - I've actually made a video about it a couple of months ago, it's called "every way to optimize the blender viewport" I hope that helps!
@@edinspiegel Ok, thank you!
crazy
Can you please drop a 15-minute-long tutorial on texture projection mapping and texture painting? In blender 4.0
The sea was angry that day my friends.
this is really good, I would like to know more about the temporal animation stabilization, most of the time my renders look like that because my samples are low, my pc isn't good enough to render a high count I was wondering if it could fix them and make them look sharper , would be a life saver if you could see this and reply to it :)
Thank you! yeah I mean the temporal animation stabilization won't improve the sharpness of the render (it will probably make it just slightly softer) - but it will remove that "warbling" that the denoiser produces in animations that are rendered with low samples
@@edinspiegel thanks, that's more than enough for me , honestly. i'll be getting it
Great, thanks for sharing! I have a dumb noobie question: When i see the modeling part of vfx breakdowns, they always have this matte colors applied to the mesh. Is this a preview thing, or just normal color textures to differenciate and organize meshes?
Hey there, thank you! yeah those colors are just a preview thing, meaning it's just so that I can better differentiate between the different meshes - but theoretically I could just model in the all grey view - so it's personal preference I guess. I hope that helps!
soo good i dont like the human model its look fake but everything is beautiful and relactic🥰
I love this scenery!! can i send u some free stuff for Lens emulation to compliment your film emulation?
Thank you! wow yeah I'd love that - thank you so much! You can send it to my email: apps4trainers@gmail.com
@@edinspiegel awesome! Just emailed
Very cool! I'll check it out!
1:55 How did you do this? How can I make the sphere “stretch” as well?
Hey there! so the only thing you have to do is to use a metaball instead of a sphere - you can find it in its own seperate category called metaballs when adding an object - I hope that helps!
@@edinspiegel Thank you, all work)
Start learning Substance Painter if you want to up your texturing game
Yeah I mean your right that would definitely be a huge step-up!
at 3:34
literally me: WTF is that, how.
Haha yeah it took like 4 days to figure that out - and I'm still working on it...
im scared of sora ai man
