    Starting off absolutely love the video!!! But Style #2 still shows plastic on the actual “round about”piece of the throttle, so I’ll definitely be getting option #1 and the adjustability is definitely a huge plus! But my one biiiig question that’s probably stupid but not shown in this video is, do either or both options have a locking pin/notch/bolt to keep the throttle assembly physically locked to the handlebars exactly where it is installed???

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  Před rokem

      No locking pin but assembly is tough enough to be tightened up enough so it won't twist

    • @hbtfproductions1421
      @hbtfproductions1421 Před 10 měsíci

      The throttle assembly comes with a screw like piece in on the top inside portion of it that goes into a hole u drill on the handle bar to hold the throttle assembly together

    Just a heads up on the aluminum style they can have rough machining that shortens cable life drastically from my experience I had one cut two cables in one month just to be sure to use sandpaper and smoothing it out

    Plastic nylon with one adjustment doesn't seem more robust than an all aluminum design.

    I’d keep looking around for a decent twist throttle, after buying I don’t think this is it. The throttle cable is too long to stay snug without maxing both adjustments, the electrical wires are too short for the switch to reach the handlebars, I managed to strip one of the screws while installing (be that me or the metal), and there is no set screw to hold the thing still. It is nice that the grips match each other now though, with some modifications it works about as one would expect

  • @martindemjan7368
    @martindemjan7368 Před 8 měsíci

    How do you put the style #1 on the handle bars so it doesn’t spin when you twist the throttle? I had the plastic one that had a notch that stuck into a hole drilled into the handle bars but I can’t figure it out for the aluminum one.

    • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  Před 8 měsíci +1

      The housing is simply going to be clamped down on the bars. It is strong enough so if you just get the screws snug it will hold

      @martindemjan7368 Před 8 měsíci

      Well I'll be dipped. I appreciate the quick reply! I guess this one can be tightened alot more than the plastic one , which makes sense. Plastic one is so brittle.

    Any idea why the chain would keep falling off the back sprocket? too loose? It seems to be happening during takeoff. Do you tighten your back wheel before putting the spring on the chain tensioner on? I have 3 bikes and 1 of them keeps giving me problems.

    • @arthurrustin1450
      @arthurrustin1450 Před 2 lety

      I have the same problem, i have a 100cc engine on a mountain bike and chain keep falling off when i take some speed and almost throw me over my bicycle

    • @evenbuzzard4642
      @evenbuzzard4642 Před 2 lety +1

      @@arthurrustin1450 I am going to try and tighten the chain first and then put the chain tensioner spring on. I think the slack in the chain from the spring being on while tightening the chain is causing the chain to fall off the rear sprocket when trying to accelerate because the tension of the chain creates more slack on the bottom when the gear rotates when the motor is engaged which causes the chain and chain tensioner to become tight on the top and more slack at the bottom due to the chain not being all the way tight primarily from tightening the chain while the spring is on the chain tensioner instead tightening the chain without the spring on the chain tensioner first.

      @evenbuzzard4642 Před 2 lety +2

      @@arthurrustin1450 I figured it out today by adding another chain tensioner near the rear sprocket. There was so much chain slap that the chain would fall off the rear sprocket every time. Imagine pulling a string tight and strumming it like a cord. The chain behaves in the similar way when adding tension from the engine. Hope this helps.

    Bruh the mistakes in the first video and watching this one now, still makes it confusing smh ! But thanks for admitting that you messed up the first video. Too much explanation in the 2nd video which makes it less confident to replace the throttle to my motor bicycle! Thanks for reattempting though . You actually made it more complicated just because there’s different procedures for a simple throttle. Not the video(s) I expected to help me replace my throttle. No offense I’m making towards you, just giving you input on your videos which there’s a reason for an option to comment ! I hope my opinion helps you, you don’t have to take my opinion at all 🤷🏻‍♂️. Just saying ya know. Sorry …! We all learn from mistakes and criticism to correct mistakes. Nice attempt though 😎

    No the kill switch is labeled correctly you have to remember it's made in china so ON would mean the kill switch is on killing the bike.... OFF would mean the kill switch is off letting it run !
