This is the first video of yours that I've seen and I've really enjoyed it! I love seeing how you made the run about having fun and meeting and encouraging people. Really lovely :)
That was a lovely video. I really liked that the video (and the marathon!) was done at a gentler pace and so there was an an opportunity to take in the surroundings! Hope your recovery continues! Thanks Rob
Reminds me of the Chantonbury Marathon which used to be held in Feb and started and finished in Thakeham. You also got a free breakfast after that too.
It was sooooo nice to meet you. I live the Steyning Stinger. The last time I did Steyning was 2019 but this year I knocked half hour of my time, so pleased . Next I have the London Marathon in aid of Children With Cancer UK. The Vanguard Way that you mentioned is another one I love soooooo hot when I did that and I got stung by wasp on the start line. Love the video 😊
I did not know about this event - your video has sold it to me, so I am coming next year. Looks like a great route over the downlands and I must have gone past it on my own run. On Sunday, I ran the Downs Link down to Shoreham and, my goodness, the mud and puddles were incredible in the early part!
I hope you’re feeling better Stephen and the energy levels are improving. I’m taking something to boost my immune system and my energy levels and pace are definitely going in the right direction. I’m curious about your choice of shoe for this race there’s lots of mud and quite a bit of road so what did you run in and did they work well on the day?
Nice work Stephen, tough this year, but you got it done ! 👍

you know there is a lot of mud when it even plays with your head at the end ;-) Thanks for sharing what looks like a lovely marathon!
That looked a very hard shift, well done.
scenic route!
Even when you are 'knackered' you are still having a good time. Great to see your love of running in all events. Reminds us why we do it. Thanks!
What a difference a year makes! Well done Stephen, way too much mud for me 😂
Did 5hr30min, left quad gave mile 20, still enjoyed the day. Will sign up for 3 forts.
Well done Tom. Great effort. Nice to meet you
Nice to see you met some of my club from Harvel Stephen! Great running
Oh Em is that your lot?!! What a nice bunch they are, even though they beat me…!
Loving the video, really captures the essence of a gorgeous trail run. Thanks Stephen.
Nicely done. Definitely will try next year. Still not 100% which seems to be taking weeks to shift...

I have done the half marathon before. I hope to do it again next year.
Well done Stephen. You still got it done, beautiful surroundings and lovely to see some sunshine. Too much mud though 😂
Great video capturing the fun and easygoing nature of this event.❤
Great filming on a beautiful day Stephen. One of my favourites but gave it a miss after a very wet Punchbowl marathon recently. Well done 👍

I'm gonna give this a go in 2025. I missed it this year as I was doing the Lulworth Cove trail marathon instead which itself was unbelievably muddy!!!

I learned a new word "diabolical" 🤣
Nice run mate, who cares about times when you have views like that.
What was your last marathon before Steyning Stinger?
Well done Stephen!!
I ran Beachy head in October!
