yes... she is VERY good. members of the band Dragonforce said themselves that this is the best cover they've ever seen of their song. she's not a 1 hit wonder either. she has several other songs she's posted vids of. But "Through the Fire and Flames" is one of the hardest songs to play on ANY instrument. look up Tina S for her guitar cover when she was just 15 years old. and I LOVE how Junna is so into the fun of playing that she has a perpetual smile while being so animated.
One of Junnas inspirations was Cozy Powell...well worth checking out his drumming as well.

yeah he said it was his favorite cover and he loved how she was so animated and having fun with it instead of being so closed in and focused like a lot of drummers. his whole reaction vid was full of "wow" and "omg"!
Actually, I hate to correct you, but you're referring to Gee Anzalone who was not the drummer when this song was written and recorded. That would be Dave Mackintosh. Gee is the current drummer and is the one who reacted to her video. If you watch the official video for Through the Fire and Flames you can see Dave in action.

My brother who has been playing for over 30 years is blown away by her talent.
You should start your daughter on drums ASAP.
Your little one does seem to have a really sweet sense of timing, I must say. Some people have an ingrained feel for timing, others have to work to develop it. I was constructing makeshift drum kits out of pots and pans and different sized reference books when I wasn't much older than her; it drove my parents crazy (the noise as well as the battered cookware lol), but they eventually accepted that it wasn't simply a phase and purchased me my first actual drum set. It was cheap and terrible, a used off brand 4 piece, but to me it was as good as gold. When my 16th birthday was nearing my mother asked me if I preferred a used car or a nicer kit, and I chose the kit without hesitation lol I received a 9 piece set of Pearls much to my dad's chagrin...my mom was a fan of my playing, my dad not so much haha Moral of the story is keep rockin' and stay heavy! Wishing everyone peace, love, and good happiness stuff from the mountains of northeastern Alabama 🥁🤘

Drums are a very expensive instrument to play as one progresses. Heads, sticks, and cymbals are a consistent expense (just one of my cymbals cost around $350, and I had 10 😬). Recording and/or performing at live shows requires mics, mixing, triggers (if preferred), etc. and quality rarely comes cheap. But that's the price you pay (quite literally) to get the sound you desire.
Have you seen Taj Farrant , the (very)young man from Australia who rips it on guitar all over youtube? His little sister plays drums. Your little one might like her. If you haven't seen Taj, definitely check him out.

She is also one of the youngest (at 13) to be added into the Drummerworld’s list of the Top 500 drummers in the world. She has also been featured as the cover artist on an issue of Drumhead magazine.

She’s an inspiration esp. as a female drummer from a non-English speaking country, to have managed to carve out a name for herself in this male dominated field of the international music scene, relying solely on her skill and dedication to the craft.
Her youtube channel has all her videos from when she started more than a decade ago by doing covers of anime soundtracks, to now having released multiple albums of her own and getting to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry.

I have zero musical background but just watching her play so effortlessly makes me want to pick up drumming too. She honestly made me develop a new appreciation for drum focussed instrumentals and fusion, which is a completely new genre for me.

Another drummer to check out is a young japanese girl called Yoyoka. Hello Maunalee. I just saw your reaction and enjoyed it. I would like to introduce to you to an all female band called Lovebites. This band is only 4'9" to 5'2". Let me tell you about them: Asami (Vocalist), Miho (Bass), Miyako and Midori (Guitarists) and Haruna (Drums) who is an absolute machine on those drums and your daughter might like the star cymbals she has. Absolutely, the best LIVE Power Metal band out there and each of the women play multiple instruments and there songs all have an uplifting message (unlike your typical metal).
