    I own this model and it's a great car. Regarding the seat cushions, they are far from too short. I am 6 foot and the seat bases are plenty deep enough. The comment that the seats are designed for Italians is both incorrect and inappropriate. This car was specifically designed to tackle the international market and compete with the Golf GTI: so the seats were designed accordingly. Please think more carefully before you make such unnecessary comments.

  • @ricardamariabetzing1580

    couldn‘t help but smile at the closing statement (i‘m german myself and about to get my 2md giulietta). wouldn’t trade her for anything on 4 wheels.
    the size is perfect (i‘m 5‘8), very smooth ride, easy handling, and parking‘s never been easier.

    2 year owner here, just some thoughts for people, the seating is amazing, but i feel they are made for someone who is about 5'8" because at just over 6' my shoulders dont fit into the contour well, the cupholders, you can never order a large drink again, it will fall, the V shape on the steering wheel is horrible on sunny days, it reflects right in your eyes, its must have been designed in winter LOL, random limp mode- basically its like its about to stall and no amount of stomping the gas will help, it last about 3 seconds usually, i have found if i to happen when i have almost gone to a full stop and its still in 2nd gear and then gone to accelerate off, say like at a giveway sign or speedbumps, and i guess its confused about what gear it should be in or something, if you arent about to be Tboned pulling out its no big deal and for myself i have found if i quickly toggle the gear paddles up then down it works fine again instantly, its not really common, but they are known for it to happen, with basically no answers from the makers

      Very reliable, we've always had a VW group car and an Alfa in the family doing 12000-15000 miles each per year over the last 15 years. The Alfas have always proved more reliable than the VW group cars.

    Not too bad a review. Thanks for sharing. God, how I would've loved it if you were using the All Weather or 'A' in DNA drive mode, though. Such a pity to have seen that gone wasted, isn't it. A Golf man, I suppose? Or, boring as such, at least... oh well! Off to find a review where I can actually hear this baby squeal in the brilliance which is her Dynamic Driving Mode! I am getting a 1.6 diesel , 2013 model this week and I have already driven it: great car , although those 105 hp need a repro upgrade to 130 very soon. I’ve had a 159 some years ago and it had the same problem: too much of a chassis to such a low power !!! The chit chat about Golf is a pain. An Alfa Romeo owner would never consider a boring and vulgar Golf... a Golf owner wants a solid value car, with some space , with the promise of reliability (which is honestly an overrated stuff on VW , and I have had quite a few in my family ), and likes to be amongst the so called intelligent people who allegedly buy the better of all the cars. So, comparing a Golf to a Giulietta is like putting a guy who loves beer talking with a guy who just loves wine...

    • @joaoreis1079
      @joaoreis1079 Před 4 lety

      Chasing Cars , that’s a specific version decision. I mean, the global Golf sales are not for the GTI. We can argue about which sports version is better , probably the Golf, but if we talk about all the other versions the choice is between “safe buy because everyone said that” and “to hell with majority, I want something special” :) now take a look at a “regular “ 2010 Golf and a 2010 Giulietta and which one looks ancient and which one a sea of boredom!! :D
