- From 1987's Moonlighting Soundtrack. This song was covered by a number of of people including the Marcels. This version right here from Cybill Shepherd (being my favorite actress) gives her all in this bluesy version with a full big band sound in front of her. I can't stop listening it because I love it to death. Truly one of the best she ever recorded for the episode "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice" which filmed in color and then black and white. She also did "I Told You I Love Ya, Now Get Out!" from the same episode. Great voice and talented individual.

I like her voice. She should sing more. She has that classics sound from the late 40's-50's night club style. Easy to listen to, and relaxing. With the right material, arrangment and production, she would be a winner in the easy listing/adult contemporary market.

I just saw the episode for the first time on DVD---her singing blew me away! She can hold her own with all the other greats who have sung this song, and I give special applause to the arrangement and the Big Band sound backing her magnificently.

I was a fan of the TV series at the time but do not recall that rendition of Blue Moon (but then, what do I recall?). What a great rom-com t was. Both were at their best.

A knockout in every sense of the word.
The music written in the 30's, 40's and 50's will not be surpassed for stirring one's emotions and memories. I grew up hearing this music as it was played by my parents on the radio and phonograph. Isn't it amazing how we can even understand the words in comparison to what today passes for romantic lyrics. The lyrics of those days were poetic, emotionally stirring, and the music made you want to move your body to the melody as you held that beautiful young lady in your arms, with her head gently tucked onto your shoulder as the scent of her lightly perfumed body drifted to your nostrils....and intoxicated you with the thoughts of what might be....ah, those were the days. ;-)
and Cybill Shepard is very at home with this song, just a Lovely voice. What we love about the music from then is the variety and History of the songs themselves. I would also like to find the version of Stormy Weather she did for this episode. I loved it. The Moonlighting Soundtrack included the Billie Holiday version not Cybill's cover. Billie's rendition is classic and great but I really loved the smooth soulfull sound of Cybill's cover and was very disappointed when I played the soundtrack and found out they did not use the version from the episode.
