Disagree. I have had 3 people come up to Me in recent years while I was blasting Morse Era Purple, saying, Who is that? That's good. They were surprised that it was Deep Purple, but they liked it. @@bobhope3716
I think the sound of Made in Europe is far better. This version sounds empty...nearly no bass, guitar a little to loud and spongy and the organ is a little to loud, too. The version on Made in Europe sounds full and groovy. I wish they could do that great mastering of Made in Europe for all 3 complete shows.
@dasvadder Agreed that the bass could have been pumped up on this as it is a showcase for Glenn. However, being a huge Jon Lord fan, it's great that he's more up front in the mix here. He gets buried behind Ritchie a lot, esp. on the Made In Japan LP.

I think these parts they added are not parts of already existing songs, they probably wrote them themselves for the concert versions of this song... But after the drum solo they played "The mule" (From the album "Fireball")
@@tolgakarabykoglu6429 Actually the intro of "Still I'm sad" is nearly the same than the "You fool no one" riff. You fool no one was released in 1974 in the album Burn and Still I'm sad was released in 1975.
Other way around! The songs of Made in Europe are mixed from 3 diffrent shows. This one is the original full song from Paris. Most parts of You Fool No One on Made in Europe are from the show in Saarbrücken, but the solo is taken from this version.
Best recorded live version of YFNO is from Kilburn Gaumont in 1974. If you can find the original vinyl bootleg version, even better as that one has the full glorious reverb of the venue itself. Jon's intro solo is stellar, the band is smokin', and its Ritchie's pinnacle MkIII performance.
One of the most iconic drum intros in rock history.
The Ian Paice intro part is something special. Brilliant groove, followed by guitar riff Holy shit.
Ritchie Blackmore in 1975 epic. Love his guitar!
he is the cat's whiskers!
La perfección
Paice est fulgurant ainsi que Blackmore, le reste du groupe est parfait. Deep Purple est une école dans la musique Rock
Oh my. What a band! Just amazing.
The whole awesome .. but Blackmore was ahead of time .. huge BLACKMORE
Love Jon Lords Opening Organ passage. This Band was and still is loaded with Talent.
Still is ? Sorry but today's Deep Purple sucks compared to this.

It is said that the performances from Mark III in the 6 month period from February to June 1975 were remarkable.

Class rock at its best. Just a shame Glenn's bass doesn't come through all that well in this recording.

3:54, Blackers hits a wrong chord...
I'm not a specialist, but wanna ask a question. Is Ritchie's guitar slightly sharp, right after the intro, or its my wrong hearing ?
Yup, it was his last concert with Purple in 70s so he probably went full blast as they all did. Fucking energy here is unmatchable
What songs did they play parts of in the middle of this song?
I think these parts they added are not parts of already existing songs, they probably wrote them themselves for the concert versions of this song... But after the drum solo they played "The mule" (From the album "Fireball")
