Im sorry for your loss.💔 I miss my tuxedo cat too. We lost him unexpectedly a few weeks ago from an unknown heart condition. We only had him for 6 years but a lovely 6 they were.❤ The antics still continue with his calico sis.
As a woman who has a lot of cats and has had cats throughout her life - I can confirm most of them are actually silly little goofs. They are very unique little individuals. 4 of my cats are obsessed with using their paws and touching everything. 2 can open the door. One took a clip off my chip bag once. They often beg for attention and act like toddlers propping up on my legs and grabbing at me. Cats can be super affectionate, especially if they are handled a lot and feel safe with you. Of course - some are stand offish. Its also all about understanding them and respecting their own personal likes, dislikes and boundaries.
@@rainbowwwkim Well, those 4 are brothers from the same litter. We also have rescues ECT. We've never had any trouble getting our cats to accept new additions. We just take it slow and show a lot of love - everyone gets along very well. Occasionally the brothers will play too rough and get upset with each other but they never fight or cause harm.
Yep, very true. One of my cats loves bread and will bust in the pantry to get to it. One of my cats will stand on his back legs, and use his front legs to beckon towards the door knob when he wants to go in to a room. One of them follows me everywhere like a shadow. They all have their own little personalities. It’s adorable.
😭seeing her reminds me of my beloved tuxedo Dora… she was very similar.. especially purring while making biscuits.. I lost my little girl to cancer in February… just shy of celebrating her 14th adoption anniversary… she was 16-17 yrs young… I miss her so much. Tuxedos are sweet, loving & if you’re their human considering yourself blessed 😭💔🐈⬛🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
The soothing on a blanket is a stress relief for cats; my 2 almost 3 year old cat does it when she wants a nap as well, we were told it could be a sign she was taken from her mom to early.
they can do it when they're happy too, but yes it's usually a sign they were taken early. my black mainecoon mix had to be taken early because his previous home was dangerous to the point he got a concussion and couldn't walk. I immediately brought him home. when he being lovey he'll make biscuits and try to suckle the blanket
I don't know about being taken too early, our dog does that too, sucking on pillows like a pacifier. Are toddlers being stopped from breastfeeding too early too which is why we give them pacifiers or is there another reason? Alls I'm saying I think animals also want pacifiers.
@@netts2315 My cat does that, her mom went missing when he was still a baby so we have to feed him using a small bottle. The mom is likely to be captured by those cat/dog-stealers in the neighborhood and became food since I live in asia
My cat is also like a puppy. My shoulder is his favorite place, he loves hanging upside down and issues his front paws like hands and is always grabbing mine. Mostly he sleeps though 😂
There is no "uncat" behavior in her. She's behaving like a cat with a good relationship with a human. A cat that is loved and respected will always act similar to her. Not to mention cats have very different personalities and different needs and tolerance for interaction with humans. There is nothing "uncat" in that.
@@BelindaShort Not really. While adult cats that have been properly weaned can occasionally exhibit this trait it is extremely common in those that havent. Hence me using the word "suggests".
@@karinawolniak8440 Maybe i am imagining it but you seem upset for some reason... I used the (fake) word "uncat" to mean not typical cat behaviour. I am not sure how many cats you have seen in your life but I can tell you this is not typical. The entire point of the video is to point out that this cat is not acting like a typical cat. So I have to vehemently disagree. There is a lot that is "uncat" about this.
The cat holding your hand to make sure you don't pull it away is fairly common. Mine does it when I'm scratching her chest. If I try to pull away, she'll tighten her grip so I can't stop scratching.
Yeah I thought it was really weird when he said they don't use their "hand" cats use their paws way more to play than dogs would. I've had two dogs that were raised by the cats and because of it they play with their paws a lot more than regular dogs that would usually play by using their mouth to nip and wrestle around lol.
I have 2 cats, one is a rescue I found pregnant and clinging to life, and the other is her only surviving baby who was born with a hernia. I spent so much time nursing them back to health, they've both become very attached/dependent, but also very naive and overly trusting of complete strangers and other animals 😂
@@fredmanie2926 My dear cat Goosey was a stray skeleton of a cat when I brought her inside and started shoveling food into her. She turned out to be pregnant and we kept all three of her kittens. Sadly, she and one of her boys passed away since, but twelve years later, her remaining two boys are right here with me!
My cat sounds like a stampeding horse when she runs down the stairs. She follows me every step I take and she wants constant attention. That's how you know that your cat loves you. ❤❤❤
Definitely was a good idea to get that purring checked out when you noticed because “a cat also purrs when it is injured, sick, in pain, or even when near death. Apparently purring is also comforting for a cat during times of illness or near death.” Glad she’s just really happy and not in any pain.
Nah it's not just based on purring, it's also how they act, when my cat was sick or injured she wouldn't leave the house (shes outside like 12-13 hours a day)
Lots of cats do that all three of mine have all of those actions it just means there comfortable around you and are trying to say they love you and trust you
She's puurrrfectly normal. Just a happy kitty that feels absolutely safe. You're doing a great job at being a cat dad. Most cats can use their paws like that.
I miss my little black cat. She sounded like an elephant moving around, she loved to be carried like a baby too. Was actually a feral kitten and discovered house life was better. Wide open door, and she would stop and just look out it.
Me too! We have a tuxedo boy and he is the friendliest, cuddliest little fur baby. He chooses cuddles over food, loves to make biscuits and just get as close to you as he possibly can.
you would be surprised how normal her behavior really is for a cat. The only real issue is the fact she seems to have severe separation anxiety which should 100% be treated.
My cats are like this. One of them is the least graceful and intelligent creature i know, but he is full of love, and you can hold him upside down. The other purrs loud enough for you to hear it in other rooms of the house, and he tries to mimic my voice.
That's not a factory reject, she's a special model, extremely limited edition and never to repeated ever again. You keep takimg good care of her like you doing. I miss my babies and they were also custom models, those are the best companions.
Yes, never take a single day for granted. I never realized just how special pets were until I lost my dog a month ago in a tragic way. He was 14. I tried my best to pamper him while I had him. I cried over him just yesterday leaving Costco. I'm glad I had time with him, I could hold him while he was leaving us, and he's not in pain anymore.
@@TheDragonSeer Damn, I'm sorry to read that, I hope that you get better soon, I know it's hard to lose an animal, I mean I've lost loads of ratties that I absolutely adore, and they only live for about two to four years, so I can't imagine losing an animal that I've known for fourteen years (?), but like I said, I hope that you feel better soon❤
People who have super independent cats didn't properly connect with their cats when getting them, Layla loves and respects you in the same sense she'd have felt toward her owm mom after first opening her eyes. In other words, you two have a strong connection. A lot of people say that a connection like that happens with a cat once in a lifetime! Cherish it!
My cat is a walking factory defect. We’ve been trying to get her off counters and dining table since kittenhood, but she just doesn’t care. She whisks all of her food out of her bowl before eating it, same with water. She constantly knocking over the rubbish bin, takes the rubbish out and plays with it (she has normal toys to play with). And more, so on and so forth. But she is just so lovely. How can you not forgive her, when she’s looking at you with such an innocent and dreamy eyes and purrs.
My wife and I have a shoulder cat as well Moto will ride around on my wife's shoulder as long as she will let him and sometimes he will jump on my shoulder to get to hers.
lmao this is exactly like my cat. loud as hell, always needs to be babied, has never attacked anybody before... some cats are just happy little guys! :)
She was taken from momma too early, usually is why they nurse and make biscuits.... Ive Fostered kittens for years and more often than not, these are the ones whom do such things. Shes precious, though and you're doing great with her.
We had a sweet amazing kitty we named John Elway (Elly, Ellyway, Johnny girl) also she was a girl lol. She had a mental disability and did a lot of these traits. Made us love her more. Our sweet special girl. Lot's to that story but yeah, your cat is purrfect and also disabled slightly lmao. Love her. I'm glad you're so invested in her

Aww, I miss my little abby tabby too 😢 Love you Nokio 💞 (Abyssinian mix)
As a woman who has a lot of cats and has had cats throughout her life - I can confirm most of them are actually silly little goofs. They are very unique little individuals. 4 of my cats are obsessed with using their paws and touching everything. 2 can open the door. One took a clip off my chip bag once. They often beg for attention and act like toddlers propping up on my legs and grabbing at me. Cats can be super affectionate, especially if they are handled a lot and feel safe with you. Of course - some are stand offish. Its also all about understanding them and respecting their own personal likes, dislikes and boundaries.
Was it hard acclimating that many cats to each other or do they all get along?
@@hvymtlangel Oh! That's so cuteee!!!
when was the last time time you got pounded
Black Cats are the most cuddly and trusting of cats! 🐈⬛ you’ll just have to get used to it! Tuxedos are my fave!
My cat just humps the blanket
I don't know about being taken too early, our dog does that too, sucking on pillows like a pacifier. Are toddlers being stopped from breastfeeding too early too which is why we give them pacifiers or is there another reason? Alls I'm saying I think animals also want pacifiers.
@@netts2315 My cat does that, her mom went missing when he was still a baby so we have to feed him using a small bottle. The mom is likely to be captured by those cat/dog-stealers in the neighborhood and became food since I live in asia
my kitten also doing that. he was neglected by his mom when he was a week, so i need to take care of him
Everything about her tells cat people that you are an exceptional cat dad. Both you are very blessed.
Ggwp, am I right?
Dude has won at life. He is a proud parent of the elusive Cat with a dog's personality.
My cat is also like a puppy. My shoulder is his favorite place, he loves hanging upside down and issues his front paws like hands and is always grabbing mine. Mostly he sleeps though 😂
The biscuit making, constant purring and following you around everywhere means she considers you her mom. ❤😊
She might have been taken away from her mom too soon:(
@@milli6986Or rescued after her Mom passed. 😢
yh
Awwwwh 🥺
The suckling on the blanket suggests she was taken away from the mother too early which might also explain the very uncat like behaviour
Yeah my cat buddy does that and it is because he was took away from his mum too early but he only does it on really soft or fluffy materials
This is mostly a myth. Many cats exhibit this behavior even if they were normally reared.
Some cats are just like that. Intense. I remember my ex stepmums cat was like that. Just full of energy
She's feels so safe, she doesn't feel the need to be sneaky. Good job cat dad
The cat holding your hand to make sure you don't pull it away is fairly common. Mine does it when I'm scratching her chest. If I try to pull away, she'll tighten her grip so I can't stop scratching.
Yeah mine does it too
mine do that too! it's so cute ❤
Yeah mine licks my hand and grabs me if I even consider not letting him finish his work.
Yeah I thought it was really weird when he said they don't use their "hand" cats use their paws way more to play than dogs would. I've had two dogs that were raised by the cats and because of it they play with their paws a lot more than regular dogs that would usually play by using their mouth to nip and wrestle around lol.
@@IvanaSantini Yeah, small dogs and cats will use hands for EVERYTHING. They will literally open jars if the lids on loose and steal your jam!
Each cat has their own unique personality and their temperament reflects their owner's treatment of them- so you're obviously doing a great job!
My cats sounds like a heard of cattle when she rus through the house. And talk about being needy, mine is too
I love how her limbs stick straight up when you hold her like that. It's like she's a reverse ragdoll
Layla and Kurt are the most precious pet I've ever seen
Right? But have u seen chase 👀
@@rawanalmadi4675 chase is a whole mood alone
Delicious to eat too
She looks like a 7-toed cat.
My KC (Kute Citty) was 7-toed. Also, the same. He was sooo affectionate and would walk across and sit on my shoulders.
I need a cat like that I'm lonely 🙁
Definitely was a good idea to get that purring checked out when you noticed because “a cat also purrs when it is injured, sick, in pain, or even when near death. Apparently purring is also comforting for a cat during times of illness or near death.” Glad she’s just really happy and not in any pain.
Nuh uh she is
@@subnaticashark2093he got her checked up, she's okay
@@subnaticashark2093 he already checked it multiple time in vet. They say it's not, she's just that happy
@@subnaticashark2093”nuh uh”-🤡
Nah it's not just based on purring, it's also how they act, when my cat was sick or injured she wouldn't leave the house (shes outside like 12-13 hours a day)
SHE'S SO SWEEETTT, we must protect her at ALL costs
Edit:I'M FAMOUS
Frrr
Edit:
Now that I think about it maybe not at ALL costs
I love how he says 'she's a tiny girl'. Thats so much love right there
I also have a heavy footed cat. She does a great impression of two horses.
Awe, I love her. She is purrfect. She is extra special.
This is like the most affectionate cat I've ever seen
The kitty is really comfortable around him, which is a good sign
Lots of cats do that all three of mine have all of those actions it just means there comfortable around you and are trying to say they love you and trust you
She's puurrrfectly normal. Just a happy kitty that feels absolutely safe. You're doing a great job at being a cat dad. Most cats can use their paws like that.
Nice joke
@@philipwindsor2929 thank you
You are truly taking amazing care of her I have never seen a cat always that happy and attached to her owner, it's really amazing to see.
It’s because he gives her so many treats and films her constantly.
Camera’s out = treats.
@@saryntoews I mean he obviously had an amazing connection with Layla even before he started making videos
I miss my little black cat. She sounded like an elephant moving around, she loved to be carried like a baby too. Was actually a feral kitten and discovered house life was better. Wide open door, and she would stop and just look out it.
She's a true treasure. Plain and simple
I have a black and white tuxedo cat as well and im convinced they are the sweetest and most affectionate kitties 😻
Good dinner is served
I’ve had three cats and my tuxie is by far the silliest and biggest personality!
Yes, they are affectionate
Me too! We have a tuxedo boy and he is the friendliest, cuddliest little fur baby. He chooses cuddles over food, loves to make biscuits and just get as close to you as he possibly can.
i also had a black and white tux and can confirm this
She realizes how safe she is in the home so she doesn't need to be quiet! That's soooooo darned sweet!!!
you would be surprised how normal her behavior really is for a cat.

Damn, I'm sorry to read that, I hope that you get better soon, I know it's hard to lose an animal, I mean I've lost loads of ratties that I absolutely adore, and they only live for about two to four years, so I can't imagine losing an animal that I've known for fourteen years (?), but like I said, I hope that you feel better soon❤
Cherish it!
My cat is pretty much the same, constantly needs love and affection, will scream if she isn’t getting it, never stops purring or making biscuits.
I would give near anything to have a cat with that personality
@@jimrobinson4755 That is so sweet! My cat can also ride on shoulders, but she is quite big (Maine coon), so she uses claws to hold on 😭

Yeah she's a pterodactyl
She’s so wholesome, I love cats like Layla
She was taken from momma too early, usually is why they nurse and make biscuits.... Ive Fostered kittens for years and more often than not, these are the ones whom do such things. Shes precious, though and you're doing great with her.

I've never seen as many furry friends more attached to a human than her. She's so sweet❤
Her standing upside down is now my favourite thing on the internet
