Well its all about what my experiences have been with it and the fact you can use it in other styles of filter such as internal or even ponds if you look at seachem matrix which is just white pumice stone i had to try something else including alfagrog but most top class media is sintered glass its not a new tech and my experiences are very positive but patience is required it's not magical

I too cant wait been using media from Richard for a great many years cant fault it also doing a salt water set soon so really need it
