Hello Kelli , I just listened and appreciated your candid view of the education path you picked. The opportunity to focus completely on your goal surely paid off in the beauty you show us in your painting. You making available the 5 day challenge and the 5 part lessons on oil painting have been a wonderful asset in my journey. I loved your videos on master painters and hope you will do some more. I always enjoy your presentations thank much

enjoyed this Kelli! I adore your journey you ALWAYS share with us. True, genuine and all love. I thought for a long time that my art history degree was useless. I don't think that anymore! But I wasn't interested in anything else! I thought perhaps I'd get into some kind of museum work. I would have loved getting some instruction on restoring paintings. I really wish I'd gotten some counseling back then on a career path. Did I ever hear an art teacher tell me that he or she noticed something innate in my art abilities? no unfortunately I didn't. But back to school at the age of 37! for a graphic design degree, then turning 50 and began to answer my calling! And I am blessed to have you help me with this, love ya girl. And want to hear about the OPA happenings when we see you today!

Thank you so much, Kelli, for all these informations. I am 37 years old, working in a library after studying literature, dipping my toes into the publishing world, then changing direction and finding a job in a library. I've been working there since 2015 but I am not fulfilled at all. I actually considered studying art back in the days, 20 years ago but decided to go for my other passion: literature. But my job isn't about writing or the writing of others, you know, not really. It isn't creative at all. And I want to turn my art passion, which I've never let go of in all the time, into a different career and life for me. I am working on it, but it's going slowly, especially now with a toddler at home. I wished I could focus on art making and learning the business but I have to squeeze it in between all the other things I truly have to do. So I completely felt it when you said art school gave you the time to focus on art making. I cannot go to art school now. I need to do it differently. But at least I now have the consolidation that I don't need art school, just more time to get where I want ❤

The only thing you get from a degree is a way of thinking and a mind strong attitude to take it further. Oh, and the certificate.

Thanks ... just an FYI, your mic is fading in and out at times. You can hear everything but you might just want to check why that is the case.

Just a simple question: why is it the education is practically free in compare to our country! With so much talent around & no help, is education considered a business in our country?? Very sad.
