The purpose of the Reading Hospital PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program is to provide structured, advanced educational and training experiences to develop or enhance a pharmacist’s skills to provide pharmaceutical care to a diverse patient population in a health system environment. The expectation is that graduates of the Program will be prepared to practice in patient care positions in a health system environment or pursue entry into a PGY-2 training program in the area of their choosing and to achieve board certification.
