This relationship is tragic ! It reminds me of my old self. When I was an Attorney in training I met a real ROADMAN ⊠of course I didnât know this I was just out having fun and met him he was charming, kind and fascinated that I had it all together and wasnât like girls in his âworldâ. The thing is even though you know right from wrong you end up falling for the person (yikes!) I did just that my life spiraled and Iâd go to work tired from partying 5-6 nights a week. I wasnât my usual self. I even found out he does drugs and wasnât mad, yet I was the type that would NEVER.
I however drew the line at marriage - somehow I knew in my heart of hearts that I should never make such a huge commitment so easily / hastily. I knew who I was dealing with and wasnât gonna do it forever. So I quietly disconnected my heart and left him and booooy am I doing a 1000 times better Iâm an attorney now which he didnât get to experience with a great job and credit and I hear heâs still for the streets with a baby on the way ! PS one time he suspected I was pregnant he made me take contraception and watched me to make sure I took it! It wasnât even about me because I had a lot of good going on for me but he was afraid to be a dad and still for the streets. Need I mention most of his fellow drug using friends have children with autism (yeah their using is that bad).
We black woke women Donât need to ever bounce back like Ciara ! We can choose to do better from the start but maybe we need the experience to fully appreciate whatâs good. Also the entire relationship I was the money maker and spender even though he could afford it he was just bummy about everything
