Awesome review i love mine and have made alot of upgrades as well but only because I wanted to.
I picked up a beat N8 for £750. Rebuilt & upgraded it, I’m £1200 in but it’s everything I wanted it to be and looks gorgeous. The conservative geo makes it feel like a long travel trail bike. It’s sick.
I'm a 64 year old wanna be mechanic, biking since the 60's and work on my cars and bikes. I paid 1600 used the bike is a beast ! I changed seat bars, pedals grips seat post lever. I came from a Atroz 2 Diamondback.
Big Creek, I love that place!
I had to swap the saddle on my T7 as well, my shorts kept getting caught on it for no reason...
What is the coil spring ID size you used? You fit it with spring clip converter?
Hey, I used a fox steel spring. I wasn't sure on the proper ID to use but everyone who ran a Bomber used a fox spring, so I did that and had no issues.
Have you thought about upgrading the brakes? im thinking of getting sram code r's
5:21 I bought Shimano M6100 brake levers, then Magura MT thirty caliper (Bought them with lever and brake line.) Review on them coming soon! I did consider the codes, but bleeding them is tricky and they are super expensive buying them new. If you are set on codes, you can usually find un-used sets off pinkbike for around 200-400 bucks. I've found many sets for 200 or less, but was always too late.
I also have the DPS on my bike and it leaks air, thinking of getting a DPX2 or a DVO Topaz T3
People are saying the DPX2 is kind of harsh off the top. Everyone who rides a DVO says nothing but good things about them. The topaz would be sweet!
Super deluxe ultimate with Meg neg is the best
Good work. Value of upgrades vs buying N9?
same frame for each....nuff said
Great content! I’m deciding between a N7 and a Stumpjumper today! What would you pick?
Thanks! I would go for the specialized, lifetime warranty and super reliable. The normal stump jumper has quite conservative geo, so it’ll be better for climbing and it’s way lighter. The EVO is where it’s at if you want a trail bike leaned more towards enduro. I would’ve gotten one but the price steered me away. Looking into the specialized status though, super great looking frame and second hand they have a 2 year warranty.
My buddy got the Status, it’s one heck of a bike! I think I’m going to go with the Stumpjumper, just wish I could find the Satin Blaze color. You familiar with the Scott Genius line? Specially 960
@@isaaceldreth6184 I’ve heard of them, no one I know has one though. What model stump jumper are you going to get? What kind of riding do you do? The 960 has ok components, but the sx, nx and rear shock might have questionable durability.
I'm thinking about getting a T8, has your buddy's T8 had any of these issues with the frame?
My friends T8 has had no problems other then the Headset creaking. If you're set on purchasing this bike, just keep in mind if you're located in the United States, customer service will not be the best.
Now is the time to sell it. Demand is high so you can get a better price. Then go buy another bike
