Thanks for the review. Both blade materials are useful and neither knife is "for looks", although the elite blade may be a touch more rugged. I just got mine. WONDERFUL old-school design! Thanks again! :-)
Was kind of rushing though the video and forgot to mention that both the Buck Ranger 112 and the Ranger 112 Elite autos come with a black leather sheath.
THE PERFECT BUCK for me would be a s30v 110 auto elite G10, WITH POLISHED ALUMINUM ❗ BOLSTERS/FRAME. Would make it a lot LIGHTER, and easier to carry. As a Buck collector/fan, they need to think about our backs.
It's a high pressure fiberglass reinforced plastic laminate... incredibly tough, light, chemically and heat resistant plastic. Yes, it's plastic, but it's a loooong way from "just" plastic
HURT 1 Yes blade length and overall length. Both models have same materials such as she is showing here. Look at it as a 112 or Ranger as they are called is just a scaled down version of a 110 basically. For price they can’t be beat for a handy daily use knife, truck knife, etc. A lot of other knives, which some I do own, are just gimmicks. All these super steels out there, while some are obviously better, are just another way for them to get more money for the knife. Unless you do crazy things with your knife besides what the average user does, then the basic steels are fine, 420HC, 1095, etc.
These are not conversions, they are made directly by Buck and therefore have the forever warranty as the rest of their product line does. These came out about 2 months ago and the price from St. Cloud Knives is $139.99 for the wood and brass handle and $179.99 for the nickel silver/G-10 handle with the S30V steel. Also, there are Buck 110 autos in these same configurations as well. Check them out on www.stcloudknives.com. They have been the hottest item this year for us!
Yes/maybe. Autos are legal to carry in FL if it can be seen by a normal person-meaning that the pocket clip must be visible. When you have one like this that has no pocket clip, you have to carry it in a sheath on your belt in plain view or have a concealed permit and carry it however you want.
No safety but it's designed to be worn in a sheath so that wouldn't happen. If you just want to have it in your pocket, it COULD accidentally fire but I've never heard of it happening to anybody I know.
You never receive it that's the problem I ordered one paid for it and I never got it so they love you it's a lie it's a scam it's fried you will never receive it
Been dying to get this modern take on my childhood pocket knife. Saving up.
Did you get it?

Instablaster.

Bucks are classic. I hope to order a customized 112 at some point (no pun intended). Thanks for the video!
The elite is a smooth operator
I sharpen my buck knives with the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Very easy 😀👍
How sharp does it get them? Do you use a leather strop?
@@TylerZ91 Very sharp. I will often use some cardboard on a hard surface. Just a few light strokes.

Yeah man, id love a 112 between the slim pro and regular innhandle thickness, in aluminum and ebony, with holes to mount a pocket clip.
Very nice
My first knife was a 112 with finger grooves bought in 1982. Still have it. Why is G-10 considered an upgrade over wood, isn't it just plastic?

In the past.did they.use other steels?
So is there a big difference between the buck 110 auto and the buck 110 auto elite and the buck 112 auto and buck 112 auto elite?
Do you sell the Auto 112 Buck knives? Awesome video thanks for sharing.
What price this buck sister
What's the difference between the 110 and 112 auto series? Blade length or?

Where were those done up. My buck don’t have fancy button options lmao. How much for the conversions.

Wish they’d make the Elite in a Drop Point blade. 😞
Does this knife come with the forever warranty
YEPPPP
Are these legal in Florida

Is nice but what about the safety button so it won't accidentally open

Tell buck to put a clip on it please!
Mine slower than that.
I've received some that were slower than others. Try a little light oil-just a drop or two and see what happens.
