@SFPFPV Thank you, I used carbon fiber wrap on a previous plane but only in small areas (wing walk) . I don't know if I'd trust it sticking well to balsa. I considered it but decided to go with what I know was made for this application.
Where do you fly and what is the best setup for a newbie wanting to get into this hobby. I am a USAF vet and have seen many types of aircrafts during my tenure
I fly at a field in the Orlando, FL area. I'll always recommend starting with a trainer aircraft and an instructor. Safety is always #1 priority. Getting certified to fly turbines is a great end-goal that started, for me, with an Apprentice!
Nice job covering! Bet those curves were not easy
I'm liking that fluorescent green and nice flying
Thanks, its actually "safety yellow" available at a store near you, :)
Is this monocote or vinyl? Did you layer over the original coating or peel it off? Great flying!
This is ultracote, I peeled off the original coating and then re-covered over the bare balsa after some light sanding. Thanks.
It looks great. I was thinking about just using automotive vinyl over the monocote but not sure it will stick enough. @@richardk302

I love the new color scheme! Im building one of these now with the Swiwin 80b. Is there anything I should address while in the building stage?
Not really, it was a fairly easy build, that's saying a lot being this was my 1st "full" build. Take your time, it's a well put together kit.
How much travel are you running in flaps and aileron?
I've got my ailerons at 90% with 26% expo. Flaps are a 0 (up), -25% (1/2) and -100%(full)
@@richardk302 sorry I was looking for actual surface travels. Flaps might be 50mm?
@@jasonwade37 Gotcha, I've got takeoff at 1/2 @ 15mm and full @ 72mm
@@richardk302 awesome! Thanks

@@richardk302 That's not the same color kit
Oh,@@drmrjon so sorry, I misunderstood. No, this was the green color kit. I recovered it after a bad landing.
Outstanding job. Looks great
Thanks so much! @@drmrjon I think I have a video or 2 with just the base grey and yellow and no overlapping shapes.
