I use Voice Attack on Contention, I've just mapped the commands for an EWR picture to the voice command "AWACS picture" and I get an instant update, works a treat.
GS server I dont think has changed since I started playing DCS. So many other servers have made innovations and tried to progress the game. I play on the Contention server now. more suited to the mig29 and 27s tech level. It has a helping EWR callout system too. you need to have fun!
Yea it hasn't changed much at all, it just attracts airquake players. And I agree, there are servers that try to make the game more dynamic but there's only so much you can do. I tried contention but the ewr callouts are too spaced out unfortunately. I agree, I need to have fun for sure but it is hard.
You should play a different server, like DDCS. This server has sparked my interest for DCS again, the culprits: 1-It a dynamic campaign, 2-it has full integration with combined arms and normally all units are player controlled which make every tank killed a challenge, 3-it has economics: no stupid 10 Amraam C loadouts, you think what you buy for you, 4-it seems all players know what they'r doing there and 5-It has the most fun team cooperation i've experienced, just today i had so much fun buddy lasing a SA15 for a Harrier coming in with a laser Maverick... give it a try sometime.
