Talk about MAJOR panic kicking in when you lost sight at 4:40. Classic "lose sight lose the fight" and I mean, major panic kicking in for me! So much so I spilled my soda pop and my spaghetti when flying. Took me 2 hours to clean up and my feet are still sitting in a pool of Mountain Dew (it was a 2 liter bottle). And if this isn't bad enough, there is still a meatball stuck to the ceiling. My Dear friend Sukhoi and F-4 Phantom pilot extraordinaire, next time you lose sight in a fight, please give me a little warning. The good news is the peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the glass of milk is surprisingly good.

At this point you could bring warbirds in and still rack-up kills 😅

I use Voice Attack on Contention, I've just mapped the commands for an EWR picture to the voice command "AWACS picture" and I get an instant update, works a treat.

@Sukhoi_GC - Hi, thought of checking something with you. Inspired by your and Plasma's videos, I've started flying the Su-27/J-11 more now. However, I'm randomly having issues with starting the jet. When I press "Start Engine" Keybind or R.Shift+Home key nothing happens. The Sequence is (1) Ensure Canopy is open, (2) Rearm the jet, (3) Electric Power Switch (4) Start Engines, and then nothing happens. Any Idea what I'm missing? I'm mostly on the GS Server. The Jet starts 1 out of 7 tries, with the same sequence of actions. I've experienced this in both SU-27 and J-11. Thought of checking with you. I can't seem to figure out. Thanks in advance :)

But, considering the MASSIVE performance difference between the Phantom and these burning pieces of wreckage, assuredly finding their way to Mother Earth, its doubtful anyone here will dispute your newly calculated kill ratio of 500,000:0. Once again, pulling the impossible out of the hat. And... I might add, all the while lugging around an ECM Pod with 4 times the drag of a Sparrow and twice the weight. Good work Sukhoi, good work indeed.

i found out that if the bandit is HOT on you, you have to have it on FWD and if he is COLD to you then on AFT. it tracks pretty good but not for long. maybe this helps a bit.

if you hop in the backseat there is on you left side the Radar Controll Panel. There is a Aspect switch, if you turn it into the FWD (Forward) position you can Launch Sparrows withouch a lock in CAGE MODE. Just put the Pipper on the Target and Press Trigger, the Sparrow has a 50/50 chance to track under the right conditions :D EDIT: you can Pull and lower the Gear Lever for Emergency Landig gear deployment and somewhere on the left wall should be a switch or so for emergency Flaps deployment too. :D

I typically would crank and notch when I’m in the bandits WEZ, especially in F-4 since you will get no RWR warnings. So dependent on threat. So in the instance action F-14, it’s almost an immediate crank, looking out the window, notch. Supports the principle as well of not flying straight at the threat. Great video!

Really all quite very good and better to see you MAX perform the Phantom on the deck. 800kts - out pacing the Hornet and letting Viper pilots know they don't own the tree tops. We are discovering through your flying the Phantom is a "Mach" fighter meaning, it performs best just below, at, or above the speed of sound. The J79s want air and fuel? Give them all the air & fuel they can take damn it! Innocently ignorant Sukhoi viewer: When is a good time to turn in the Phantom? Sukhoi: You don't. Now leave the apple on my desk and get out.
