Fishing trip to sunny Lake Puula - a new fishing technique and preparing the catch

- Our team woke up at the shore of Lake Puula to a hot summer day. Because we had stayed the night at the Läsäkoski rapids, we couldn't pass on the excellent opportunity to go fishing for some trout - Peltsi, Matti and Jerkko were out and about and heading over to the rapids to do some fishing already at 5 a.m. You can find out what happened at the rapids in a later episode about Läsäkoski!
After stopping by at the rapids in the morning, we headed over to the lake's jigging spots, where Matti introduced us to drop shot jigging, which works especially well at Puula. If you want to learn more about it, watch Matti Huitila's video about drop shot jigging.
We continued our trip towards Kankariluoto, where Peltsi prepared a meal from our catch. This easy-to-cook campfire fish is made from a filleted two-kilogram pike (perch and pikeperch fillets are also good). You also need some salt, pepper, dill, cream cheese and tinfoil. Wrap the fillets in tinfoil and cook them over the campfire. Check the video for details:

Eikös tuo ole vertikaalijigausta?
Akkee 11 Drop shottaus on eräänlaista vertikaalijigausta, kun nostellaan jigiä ylös alas. Varsinaisessa drop shottauksessa painolla on olennainen merkitys, koska sitä voidaan liikuttaa siimassa ylös alas ja säätää siten jigin uintisyvyyttä. Ylipäätään aika kiva kalastusmuoto. @@KalastusKanava itse olen ymmärtänyt että se on heittelyä eikä tuollaista "eräänlaista" vertikaali jigausta kalastusta mutta näyttää se noinkin kalastava menetelmä olevan...
Kyllä dropshot jigauksessa heitetään se jigi samanlailla kun normi pohjalinja jigauksessa dropshotissa ei vaan kelata kokoajan vaan pompotetaan sitä jigiä vavalla
