Dammit if i was a millionaire I'd get this studio back together and finish it, this quality is too good, the spirit of this show is like none other.

It’s the same as the Hunter x Hunter two version dilemma , they each have their own feels and even though they are the same ploy and same character names , they are completely different and I love them both for what they are !

I first watched Arslan back in the early 90s shame they didn't finish it.
I watched the movie for the first time in 2003, that's almost 17 years ago. Arslan is my first love. The new version is nothing compared to the old version. I wish they would continue this old movie, not the new one..though i know that's not going to happen T_T
Man, I'm actually I wouldn't care if we got more of the new one, it would be better than the Arslan drought we're in.
New Arslan 2nd season Fuujin Ranbu ends with Arslan gathering his 50.000 troops from the South coast, so it would be cool to see what's next.
It sucks that both versions sit unfinished 😞

I love both versions of arslan 🥰 I hear a lot of people dislike arslan senki as a whole but I suggest you give the manga a chance. So far it’s been very loyal to light novel (only a few parts added by Arakawa that further enhance the story in my opinion!) and now the final arc is taking place 😍 (first half) so I really suggest you give it a chance.

though i must admit , i would've loved to see more of this Ova - not that i don't like the new one , i do ! but the old and unique art style of this is something hard to find nowadays obviously
+anikixvi The OVA was certainly beautiful and I don't have a preference between the new adaptation or the older one. I think both are amazing as well.

+Risa chan You won't find the end in a manga but in a novel. Both series of arlsan in anime didn't get to the end of the novel and probaly won't

I want to continue the story, do I need to get to this part in the original 1991-1996 Manga adaptation? I can only find the 2013 Manga online, the one with the new generic bland art style.

Aw, and you never mind the stupidity permeading the new one version?
Like screaming in the corridor-like street and noone hears it?
Or the guardian obeying the orders of the boy, that contradict the King's rules, though we were shown that Arslan is considered to be just a boy not being a way close to his father?
Like the army couldn't see the gap, as even inside the mist you have a vision in distance of at least 5 metres?
Arslan hanging the sword in two hands after many trainings, and the teacher doesn't say that it is wrong? That should've been told at the first lesson!
Or, again the moment with a gap, no reason why the King, educated and experienced commander, would send his army into an obvious trap. In the old version the betrayal is shown more correctly, then in the new one.
And that is just in the first 2 episodes out of the 3 I watched, and I even can double or triple this list, without even mentioning how badly the characters' appearance degradated since the new one!
Conclusion: the new version is an imbecilic mistake of Mother-nature!
The king is obsessed with power and overconfident and while he is a bery good warrior he is a very bad king and that's how he was portrayed in a new version and there are swords which require both hands, not sure if that one was but yeah oh and it makes more sense for arsčslan to be a boy, after all it wouldn't make sense for adult to know nothing of what happened in this universe
